My fiancé and I visited here today for the first time. The first thing I want to point out is how fantastic and friendly all the staff are! When we walked in, it literally felt like we were family even though we had never visited before. It was much appreciated! We both ordered burgers which were juicy and flavorful. I ordered the Mushroom and Swiss burger and was impressed with the amount of mushrooms added on. The only "con" was just the steep pricing for diner food, BUT I would gladly pay more for this great service than a cheaper place that doesn't care. I was eyeing the French Toast so we will definitely be back!

My fiancé and I were on the way to Universal Studios to spend a day at the theme park/studio. We were en route when we realized, our original breakfast plan was not to our liking, so we immediately googled “Best breakfast near Universal.” Boy, did Google get it right with this one!
I had the short stack of chocolate chip pancakes with a bowl of fruit. My fiancé had the omelette with spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms with a side of fruit. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the meal, and the atmosphere was very inviting, with what I could make out as the owner and his wife running the show and welcoming each guest. I will be back!

Not a bad place to stop and get breakfast. It was pretty expensive which was surprising for a diner. We spent over $100 on four meals with coffee and juice. The oatmeal was microwaved which I didn't love. The fresh salsa had tons of flavor and was delicious with the potatoes and onions/peppers.

Extremely friendly and welcoming, one of those obviously family-owned places that cares about their contribution to the community.
The coffee was a little burned but the food was very well prepared and the portions were generous with plenty of cheese in our omelet etc.
The table was a little sticky (don't set your phone down) but otherwise the place felt very clean.

This is a bit of a drive for me, but it's worth the effort for good bacon and over medium eggs with breakfast potatoes. The staff and owners are always great, too. They always make me feel very welcome.
I'm now a regular customer.

Delicious! So many good things to say... everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Eggs, bacon, toast, crunchy home fries. Pancakes were as big as the plate! There was a 20 minute wait for a table, but it was worth it. Only negatives were very minor - limited parking, one bathroom, dated furniture...but this is such a great place those things don't even matter. We will be back again! REALLY good service! We left full and happy.

We went here for breakfast based on all of the positive reviews. The food came out incredibly fast for a sit down establishment...I'm guessing maybe 5 minutes tops after ordering. The food was fantastic as well. I highly recommend this place!

This was a very pleasant surprise for us as we needed breakfast after a hike in Griffith Park and weren't real familiar with the area. We found them on Yelp where their consistently good reviews really stood out. Our experience was that the food was excellent. The service was exceptional and the prices were reasonable. They were able to accommodate our fairly large group with no problem. We would highly recommend Good Neighbor Restaurant.

Hubby and I ate here the day after being married. We stayed at the Universal Hilton the night before and was referred here for breakfast by a valet attendant. We LOVED it! The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. The service was great and the food delicious! Very pleasantly surprised. We're Angelenos and will definitely go back!

So good we went two days in a row!<br/><br/>We wanted to give the children an authentic American breakfast on the first day of our holiday - the Good Neighbour did not disappoint! Great eggs, sausage, pancakes, French toast. So good we went back the following day! We would love somewhere like this in our neighbourhood back home in the UK.

Forgetting to take a picture is my testament to how good it looked when I got my plate! Cheers to one of the best breakfast spots I've ever been to in LA, and that's a lot to say! This place feel and tastes like home! Best place to go if you're on your way to Universal Studios as well, it's about a mile away!

Was staying around the area and not many places to choose from for brunch. Our hotel rep recommended this place so my gf and I took a stroll here. The restaurant is fairly big with a home-like feel and great hand drawn art. <br/><br/>The extensive menu made me even more indecisive than I already am. I settled with turkey bacon and eggs breakfast and my gf got the French toast. My over easy eggs were perfect and great variety of fresh fruit; the turkey bacon was soft and not crisp at all. Felt like it was cooked and sat for a while. Gf's French toast came with 3 and sunny side up eggs. She commented her eggs weren't runny enough. <br/><br/>Overall breakfast was decent but nothing you couldn't make at home. Not sure what prices average to be in LA but I thought it was a bit pricier than what we're used to. There were a lot of staff so service was good.

Great Food.. I've been coming for 17 years and always the same people that run it and the food is the best for Breakfast before you get to the Studio.<br/><br/>Alot of famous people go in and have breakfast and lunch but just trying to relax like everyone else.<br/><br/>However the Pancakes and Eggs are good same with the Lunch, just go and you'll be very happy.

Best breakfast lunch place on the planet!! Frequented by movie stars, musicians, directors, and everyone else. Turkey Rueben is my fab as well as any Omelet. Pancakes are outrageous and the staff is incredible!!

Probably my favourite breakfast/lunch place on the planet. I used to live just behind this place, and head down for breakfast every single morning, the menu is great, the food is great, and the staff are very friendly.<br/><br/>We even chose our office location to be across the street after i'd moved out of the area.<br/><br/>It gets very busy during peak hours , but you can sit outside or peruse the odd little boutique/curio shop next door, or just watch people attempting to park in the oddly shaped spaces.<br/><br/>Parking can be a bit of a headache, but it is worth it.<br/><br/>If you're into the celeb thing, you'll often see some here, but the real stars are the staff.<br/><br/>Probably the single best reason to live in Studio City, its just that good.

Excellent. My family stayed in Noho for 5 days- we had to go back a second time for breakfast before we left. It was just tasty excellent food. Very nice atmosphere also. I want their banana pancake recipe!
