Not a pet owner but I drove a friend to have her dog's nails clipped. Owner & operator of the business, Todd was very kind, friendly, attentive, helpful and professional. Savannah demonstrated hair products for the pets! Wow, the product smells 😍 yummy! Thanks for helping us dog stuff.

This place is one giant storage unit for them. Disgusting. Can hardly move around the store. Sure they do good nails, but this store is in so much dissaray it's disgusting.

I have bought my dog food from the Savvy Dog since getting my puppy. Everyone is always very helpful and everything they sell is good for your dog. Great shampoo too! My baby loves the chewy they have at the front counter too.

I could not be happier with the grooming of our less than perfectly behaved 6 month old pup. They were compassionate with him and did a great job. Due to covid 19 he had only been groomed once before, so they had their hands full, both with a lot to do with his grooming needs, plus lack of his grooming experience.
I would recommend them, and have, twice already!

We take our terriers here and just love it. They are so efficient and kind with nail clipping and grooming. We are so thankful every time we go!

The groomer does a good job. The mother of the groomer, working the front desk is very agressive with the mask mandate, to an extreme. I was very unhappy with my treatment and did not appreciate her disrespect. I do not recommend going to this establishment.

We had an end of day appointment. Our dog was a little matted. But instead of cutting her hair short and combing out, they shaved her bare! I told them if they had to do some cutting it was okay, but never would I have wanted her shaved bald! She was unrecognizable. Truly unrecognizable! We all initially question whether or not it was truly her. I think because the appointment was 1 1/2 hours before closing, they chose to shave her bald so they didn’t have to do any comb out so they could close on time. They should have called us, we would have been more than happy to bring her back another day when they had time and would have paid for any extra time needed, done it ourselves or taken her elsewhere. I will never bring our dog back here and I would strongly urge anyone not to use them. Anyone that would do that to a dog, can’t care about them. Our family was in tears!
Update: Here are the answers to your questions
:First, I'm not concerned that you "exposed" our names. The only reason I used my alias is I had forgotten my password to my primary account when I sat to do the review. I find it telling that you also divulged another clients full name that gave you a one star review. I assume in retaliation. However, I'm openly telling people about my experience.
First, we left our dog with our house/dog sitter for 10 days. I usually comb out my dog every few days and I don't think my sitter brushed her. She was more of a mess than usual and had some mats, but I don't think she was neglected. In your email to me you stated "Mats of this nature are generally caused by a dog being wet and towel dried, without combing/brushing/drying properly - multiple times over." I do not believe this is the case, my dog is an indoor dog.
I had combed out the entire top of her back the morning after we returned home, but thought since I had a grooming later that afternoon, that I should leave the rest to the professional. She was matted but not all over. I did say she was a mess and stated that I understand if SOME trimming was necessary, but never gave permission to shave her bald. There is a BIG difference between trimming and shaving bald! There are things that can be done other than shaving her completely bald like using conditioners and cutting the hair shorter.
We can debate what shape she was in, but regardless, If the man grooming her felt he had to completely shave her, he should have called us first! To say we were disappointed is an understatement, we were devastated!

Customer service was beyond horrible. This business is ran by a mother daughter team, both of them being neither pet nor business savvy. I went with my mother to this business for a simple nail trim and they treated my mother terribly. We were told to come at 3:00 and that we would be attended to immediately. However, upon arrival we were told that we would have to wait as they were already attending to a dog being groomed that got there just before us. Makes sense, why waste time with customers that don’t pay as much? So now we had to wait, which we wanted to avoid as one of our dogs has very bad anxiety. So to get him to calm down, we asked if we could just walk him around the waiting area. It felt like we were asking for them to move heaven and earth, but eventually they agreed. Once we started walking our dog around, my mother apparently got a little too close to a curtain and she was met with a barrage of belittling warnings. After apologizing and explaining that she had no idea and that there was nothing posted so people know to stay away, the mother said under her breath “it’s just common sense”. Sorry, but no it’s not common sense to stay 5 ft away from a curtain at all times, especially when the shop is cluttered and dirty. It was so difficult to see my sweet and caring mother belittled so blatantly. So as long as you know that appointments don’t mean anything and you know to stay at least 10ft away from any given thing in the shop all for average prices, low grade service and unsanitary conditions, then please, stop by!
Update. We have sense contacted them and they further belittled us. Their response was truly disturbing and disgusting. They’re NOT animal people and don’t care about you or your animal, just your money.
