I haven't been to McAllister's in forever. I couldn't wait to get some soup in a bread bowl.
I remembered the nachos being a lot bigger than what we got for the table. They tasted fine, but ended quickly.
I ordered the max spud and broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl. I was very disappointed. They barely took out any bread! I would have gotten a lot more soup if I had just ordered a bowl. And the bread was not the good old chewy stuff they used to have. This was plain, very dry, white bread. Like a stale sandwich loaf. It didn't soak up anything!
The potato filling was fine, but the potato itself was still very potato-y in a bad way. The skin was basically leather.
I'm not ordering either of those things again. But I might still go back to eat an order of nachos by myself or try a sandwich. The sandwiches my wife and son got did look delicious. But with the way my stuff came out, I have to wonder.
If my next trip isn't better, it will be my last.

Good food and experience. All the staff, except for the people who are actually taking your order, seem to be really helpful and friendly. Due to the not so friendly or helpful staff that is taking the orders, our order seems to get messed up a lot. But they are always very accommodating to that and make sure we are taken care of. Would recommend to others.

I love these guys but we are slacking on the bacon and making them little pieces. If I wanted all of that I would have went to IHOP. The bacon is on the top and salad is on the bottom. Please fix these guys.❤️

Food is usually really good, but Service isn’t. It isn’t as horrible like some other sandwich places in the area, but still not great. The chicken club is bomb, ask for a side of ranch to go with it. The rotel dip is also amazing. Parking lot sucks, traffic in and out of the place sucks. Besides that, I would give it a try.

Great food but wish they still had a muffaletta. It was my favorite. Service was also excellent. The dividers between tables were dusty and have not been cleaned in a while.

The food tasted good like always, but they left out 1 order of chips and there was no container for the bread bowl of chili, and the chips we did get were fewer than normal as well. The inconsistency makes my family not want to keep getting good here despite the food tasting so good.

Our food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and they brought out our food fast. I would definitely recommend this place.
