Just a nice place! Great food, varied menu, fabulous staff, and the Coconut Cream pie is to die for. Home made!
The best part though is that we could get there from the water side! How sweet! We anchored our sailboat off the ICW, took a 10 minute ride in the dinghy up the channel, and there it was! We'll be back!
Excellent service, beautiful outside seating area and great food. Highly recommend Longbeach Cafe for breakfast or lunch.
Nice place at the north end of Longboat Key. Although hidden away in the back of the Whitney Beach Plaza, Longbeach Café is being discovered by locals. There were not many customers when I visited early this morning but they were all people who had visited before. Repeat business is always a good sign. I liked the place, comfortable booths, a few 2-top tables, and a lunch counter facing their open kitchen. This is not a large place but it looked nice, decorated with pictures for sale by what I assume are by local artists.
I was not as impressed with my food, I ordered their Homemade Corned Beef Hash & Eggs. I liked that they included pieces of green peppers but they need to up the ratio of corned beef to potatoes.
Service was good, my food was ready in good time and my coffee topped off. In addition to breakfast, I saw they also offer sandwiches and burgers for lunch.
A great small diner right next to the river. They have classic breakfast dishes and you can eat with a view! Honestly it’s hard to pass this place up. Definitely recommend if you want a nice filling breakfast. Our server was great to!
Definitely try this AMAZING café for breakfast! They have THE BEST muffins and biscuits, which they will grill for you! Four of us went out for breakfast and four of us not only got a GREAT breakfast that day, but the next day too with our leftovers!
Best biscuits and gravy on the island, also their carrot cake muffin is incredible!
Always a favorite spot to go for breakfast. Friendly staff, delicious food (must have biscuits!), and a beautiful waterfront seating area. Just perfect and so convenient, right on LBK!
Very nice breakfast. Wife had their French omelet, I went with Greek. We sat inside, clean. Lots of art work from local artists on display. Didn't know about their outdoor patio dining area until the end.
