Beautiful local diner with fantastic food. Stopped by hear after a weekend of camping in -20° weather so a warm meal was most welcomed.
Staff was friendly, unlimited coffee, affordable prices, and most of all delicious food.
I'll make a note to stop here for a bite the next time I'm up in the high peaks/long lake region.
We were late in to town in the middle of winter and this appeared to be the only place open. Parking is mostly across the street. The food was very good and the atmosphere was lively! Service was not the best... Maybe because we were out of Towner's? That's our only complaint. I had chicken Parm and it was nice and crispy, the red sauce was quite good. My GF had pulled pork Mac and cheese and it was great!
Wholesome American fare in a homely environment, with friendly staff and local patrons. There are a bulletin board with local notices, an automatic teller machine and a gumballer. The bathrooms are narrow and include chalkboards in case patrons want to doodle. There is a backroom for larger groups (upwards of ten). There are about six beers on draft. Parking in the lots next to the restaurant or directly across the roadway. In 2019 Larry Sharpe stopped here on another statewide tour after his historic run for New York Governor.
Stopped in for breakfast. No wait. Very friendly service. Only one waitress was working and she was tending to everyone just fine. Coffee was good. Food came out fast and was great. Would definitely go back. Actually would have went today but there are closed Tuesdays.
My wife and I came here for dinner a couple weeks ago. The bartender and server Dave was kind and got the job done well.
The homemade cream of mushroom soup is world class. It was the best cream of mushroom I’ve ever had.
The chili is meat heavy with few beans noticed. Delish with the real cheddar cheese on top and side of cornbread.
The fish fry had a really crunchy batter. The fish was cooked fully. The fresh hand cut fries were good.
Pizza had fresh dough and the mozzarella on point.
Had an awesome experience at breakfast today. The server Kelly was super fun and had a great personality. She was prompt, polite, and attentive. Refills were offered proactively before we finished them.
The coffee is good, the Bloody Mary is well above average, and the water in Long Lake is the best water I’ve ever tasted.
My wife’s eggs, sausage, and toast were solid. My skillet was better than expected because the sausage is actually Polish sausage kielbasa!
The next server working was Britt and she’s very personable.
Definitely recommend a stop here. For those concerned, all required precautions are taken for safety with masks, distancing, and disposable products. Love the Adirondack maps on the tables.
This is too die for!! Great location, great service, the food was mouth watering and the view was spectacular!! Thank you for making Fathers Day weekend the best !! You gotta see for yourself if jn Long Lake!!
