I've been ordering delivery from this branch for many years. I have never had any problems and it's basically because I know how it goes when I first call. Some people just jump right in and start ordering, but that's not how you do it. Here are some tips:
1. First question: would you like to hear our specials? Answer yes or no.
2. Will this be for delivery or carry out? Take your pick.
3. What is your telephone number? Give it to them
4. What is your first name? Give it to them
5. Verify your address if you're in the system/give your address (include cross streets).
6. Will this be cash or charge? Tell them. At the end of the order you'll be asked for credit card info if paying with plastic.
7. If you have a coupon, mention it NOW (give the person the code).
8. Begin to order SLOWLY -- they have to go from screen to screen to select each of the things you are ordering (including toppings or whatever). DO NOT SPEED THROUGH YOUR ORDER; feel out the speed of the person taking your order and match your speed. Also, it is very loud in the kitchen, so speak loud and clear.
9. If you are ordering extra sauce, make sure you mention it after each item the sauce will go with (the driver's job is to check for extra sauces. If you don't get them it is probably because the person who took the order did not enter it into the system. Same goes for drinks).
10. Order your drinks last AFTER THEY ASK, because this is their up-sell.
11. Once you're done ordering, the person will repeat your order -- listen out for any mistakes
12. You will be given your total.
13. YOU MUST REPEAT: delivery/carry out; cash/charge before hanging up. Even at the risk of sounding redundant, because the driver needs to know whether to bring change or not.
14. The delivery time estimated is done by a computer that has no clue how many people are on the clock/drivers are available, so give them extra time, including at least 15-20 for cooking and boxing the food.
15. Be patient and understanding! One worker at Domino's is the equivalent of 2-3 at McDonald's. They move fast, but there are times when there is nothing they can do to speed things up. Also understand that when expecting a delivery, many things can happen while the driver is on the road (for example: traffic, accidents, road blocks, etc.) that have nothing to do with them.
16. Drivers do not sit around waiting for deliveries - they actually do a lot of work inside the restaurant (anything from dishes, to organizing the heavy stock, to making pizzas, to answering phones). They are the hardest workers and get the short end of the stick. DO NOT STIFF THE DRIVER. If someone messes up your order, or if your order is late, IT IS NOT THE DRIVER'S FAULT. Keep in mind that it is in their best interest to be diligent, because most of them work for tips ONLY, minus taxes.
17. Meet the driver outside or downstairs. They will love you for this and will also make sure to take extra care of your stuff (even make your stop first when it should be second, or last).
18. Drivers have to pay for everything (Gas, car insurance, metered parking, auto repairs, parking tickets, etc.) and they do not get reimbursed for this. The $2 delivery charge does not all go to them, so give them a break -- at least 20% gratuity (remember that, unlike waitresses, they have car expenses).
Now, I'm not saying it is your fault, if anything is wrong with your order, but you will reduce the risk of mistakes/delays if you follow the steps while ordering. Be understanding when a mistake happens or when the order takes more than 1 hour to arrive. No driver will ever be late on purpose.
I adore this dominos, they come quick. The food looks great (to me presentation is everything). The taste is classic and perfect, I chose this as the best pizza over PaPa Johns And I will always mean it! I have had absolutely NO problems with this Dominos at all. I'm gonna keep being a loyal customer.
Don't get me wrong but dominos has great food. The workers are rude and unprepared. the best worker was the delivery guy. He was more respectful than the people who work at this dominos
Great service - Quick - great website. Exactly what I ordered and fast!
The pizza is amazing and is well done I love it.
