Charley's Ocean Grill

Went to Charley's Ocean Grill after a day at the beach. It was like a late lunch early dinner. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The drinks were just okay. The food was plentiful. Unfortunately, the food was not that good. Their perogies were delicious!!! Everything else eh. The table had a chicken sandwich special. The chicken was pounded so thin that there wasn't a way for the cook to over cook it. The cheese and other toppings were delicious on the sandwich but the bread was stale. Their sushi rice appetizer had good fish on top but the friend rice was soggy and had no flavor. Great location should have been a great meal, but the food was just not up to par.

We'll be coming back to this place. The food was excellent, the drinks were strong, and the place is really nice. For apps we ordered the buffalo chicken dip, and the PEI mussels. The dip tasted really fresh, as did the mussles. The sauce on the mussels was awesome. I ordered the rack of lamb, and it was cooked perfectly. Juicy and flavorful. My girlfriend ordered the Ahi tuna steak, and that was delicious too. Our server was very attentive, and the drinks came quick. We never waited more than a couple minutes. The only thing that could've improved was we asked for some water with our food. All the water glasses were going through the wash, and I think our server mightve forget to get them, bc we asked like 20 min later and she got them right away. All in all, expect to pay around $40 for an entree, $20 for a burger, and $15-20 for each app.

First time hear with my wife. We had a bunch of appetizers. The Raw bar was great! We had 2 dozen clams on the half shell, clean and fresh, a dozen raw oysters clean and fresh. My wife had the Grilled Octupus, she is an Octupus junky, her favorite,and this one was perfect. We shared a steamed Artichoke, it was okay, avg. We also had soup " the Bermuda Fish chowder " it Rocked!! Descent wine list. We did not have a Dinner, and sorry I forgot to take pictures . We did have Dessert and Cappacino, we had the Keylime pie and the Tollhouse pie, both great. The only downside was the bus boys, were lazy at cleaning off the tables , young kids , I dont think they have common sense, unless they are on there cell phone. Other than that it was great. Next time we will try a Dinner

In our quest for an ocean front restaurant, we stumbled upon Charley's. SO glad we landed HERE! From the bright & unique decor, to the delicious amazing food, to the gregarious bartender/waiter [James], The presentation of food is exquisite! I cannot recommend this place highly enough! I had the encrusted salmon .. and I believe it is the BEST salmon I have had in my life! Thank you for embracing us to feel like a 'local' and providing one of the best lunches we have had!

I will give this place 5 stars because their peanut butter dessert with ice cream was epic. Calamarie was kinda bland, not even seasoning in the crisp. My steak was over cooked but they recooked it at the proper temp. Was very tender and sauce was good after it came out the 2nd time. When they served entrees they didn't know whos Food was who's. (the server wasn't he one who served entree, it was a food runner or someone who worked in the kitchen it seems) the server was actually very good. But that peanut butter desert with ice cream was epic... I would go there just got that dessert again.
