Delicious food and wonderful staff. Great end to our Long Branch vacation weekend. Only thing that would be better is if we could bring our small dog!

Mid September is great season to feel the ocean and enjoy the view here if you don’t like humidity or packed places. Services are great! Food are fresh and even for the chips are great too. Highly recommend!
Ps tab water has some kind of taste…not sure if it’s a local thing haha

I had lunch here a few days ago. The place, views and staff are exceptional. Can’t complain about that. Lunch prices are high but reasonable considered this is an established place and its location. The food however leaves you wanting more. I’m not saying it’s bad, but when I go back it won’t be just for the food. Even though the presentation is great, and the way they space out the courses is great, the taste(or lack of) never matched the greatness of everything else.

We ate there this evening for our anniversary after making reservations online. We were seated promptly, and there was an anniversary card on the table, which was really sweet.
I ordered from the fish board and chose the grilled Mahi Mahi with chili sauce, roasted brussel sprouts, and wild rice. My husband ordered the same, but with the lemon butter sauce, risotto, and green beans and tomato.
The fish was cooked perfectly and had a lovely smokey flavor from the grill. The sides were great as well, especially those roasted brussel sprouts!
Both my husband and I really enjoyed our meals, our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu, and the view... well you can't get much better than that beautiful ocean view!
We had a great anniversary dinner. Thank you Rooney's! We will be back!

This restaurant was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I went here for the first time for a date and the food was incredible. Both of us were blown away. Everything we ate was so delicious and our waitress was so sweet and attentive. This has become our new favorite restaurant and we can’t wait to go back. This place deserves the hype.

Had a great experience here - The drinks and appetizers came out SUPER fast after putting in our whole order. The truffle fries were AMAZING. We had a reservation at sundown and enjoyed a beautiful ocean view as we waited for our entrees, which were also delicious. My only criticism is the waitress took quite a long time to come back afterwards, our plates were empty and we were looking for the check. It was quite busy, so I understand. Would love to come back in the future.

Start with negatives, had dinner at 4:45 pm reservation and they already were out of the lamb shank, which is why I went there. Disappointed. Ordered short rib pasta at &38, while it was very good, portion size was really small about a 1 cup full of food.
Positives we had a very friendly waitress and she offered many good suggestions. Husband had the 2 lb Angry lobster pasta. Picture included. After your done shucking lobster, again portion was small amount of pasta for $70. Lobster bisque was excellent with nice size lobster pieces in there. Drinks were pricey but good. Overall a 4 because how are you out of a dinner item at 4:45 pm!!!

Our first experience here. The oysters were great (we got the specialty one of the day not blue point). The lobster tail was good. (I only say good because I’ve traveled to Maine and had lobster and it doesn’t compare but ya know Maine lobster so in terms of lobster eaten from Jersey, very good). They make a great espresso martini. Service was great; attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is gorgeous being right on the boardwalk/beach.

Sat at the outside bar and loved it! Perfect setting for a Sunday brunch at the beach… gets busy quickly so arrive early for prime seats. Sitting at the bar does mean you’ll take a back seat to the drink orders coming in from the tables. But the ambiance outweighs the service. The food is yummy too!

Beautiful ocean views at this Atlantic beachfront restaurant. Food is not the star here (sorry).
Bad first: grilled halibut entree was very dry - almost dehydrated, jumbo prawns in the cocktail platter, though very large, were boiled to the point of rubbery tastelessness. The meatballs were over compressed with tough, fibrous bits. These were positively not in the "Lavos" "one pound Imperial wagyu meatball" league. - those are melt in your mouth rich.
The good: oysters and clams on the half shell were fresh and briney. The roasted oysters were flavorful. Servers were very attentive and professional.
It's definitely not a food destination, no standouts here, but it's doubtful that anyone comes to a beautiful waterfront restaurant for Michelin quality food. Come for the Atlantic ocean views on a wonderful spring day or evening. After your meal, take a stroll, breathe the crisp, briney air, gaze out upon the endless waters and all is well. Nice folks here, drink more wine, eat less, enjoy. Everything is good.
