I was just driving by and realized that I have never had Honduran food. The server was wonderful when I came in. I ordered the guacamole & chips (which was pretty darn good, and made with an interesting ingredient-diced hard boiled egg. It was awesome! Then, I ordered the Carne Asada con Tajadas for $12.99. This white boy wasn't sure what to expect, but after my first bite, my palate was in heaven and it was the best and most damned delicious lunch I've ever had. I ate every piece off my plate. However, I was a bit sad that they no longer serve beer/alcohol, because that would have made it even more perfect. But hey! The Honduran grape soda was very good :)
This place is amazing!! My husband is from Honduras and is constantly talking about his homeland cuisine. He found this place and it was amazing. We have been to another Honduran restaurant here in Long Beach, but when it comes to the authenticity of the food, Mi Tierra Restaurant has it right. The baleadas were amazing and the Sopa de Mondongo and the carne asada with tajadas were delicious. Their juices were good as well. The service was good as well. They were a bit busy, but they are attentive and catered to our needs. It took a minute to our food, but it was fresh and hot and worth the wait. We had a good experience. We definitely have found a place we will be coming back too!!
The baleadas are huge and delicious. The black beans are flavorful. I always get the platano Maduro which I love and the also have pupusas. This is a great place for Central American food.
I loved the food here. Probably better than Honduras Kitchen. Everything was authentic! Just like my mom used to make. The balleadas are huge and I couldn't pass up getting a bottle of banana soda. The lady even brought out this frozen ice milk dessert that took me back to my childhood when I used to visit Honduras with my folks.

Maracuya drink is delicious! I ordered the "pinchos mi tierra" the meat was very tender and perfectly cooked! Loved it!
They give a lot of food, although it's kind of pricy but totally worth it ! Provides good cultural taste/ knowledge of food.
10 stars review! My family and I came to this restaurant, and from the beginning to the end, the waitress was friendly. We told her we had a bad experience in another restaurant in which we had to wait a long time for our food to be served. She took our order and she did bring chips, and our food was ready in less than 25 min (we're 8 people total). The maracuya drink was excellent. The baleadas were delicious with plenty of beens, eggs, sour cream, and cheese. My other family members ordered the platano breakfast (I think the name of the plate was like that) what included: fried platanitos, eggs (cooked as your choice), beens, a piece of cheese, sour cream, and avocado (extra cost). Prices were reasonable.
The customer service was great! Thank you for treat us well. I really recommend this place. We're definitely coming back for our next trip from the Bay Area! 🔜🍽
