Another spot to add to my list of faves!! Food is nuff and very good. I ordered jerk shrimp and jerk chicken for pick up. I love the fact that the food is made to order and not just sitting around. Next time I plan to get the shrimp roti.

Pretty sure this was my first time I had been to a Caribbean restaurant; and it was amazing! I'm kind of upset that I had already eaten before my friend invited me to come with her to try this place out. She got the oxtail, which fell off the bone! The waitress that helped us out was super cool and took her time to describe some dishes to me. It's a bit of a drive for me to get there, but I would definitely come back!!

Great food, love the oxtail stew with the beans rice streamed cabbage carrots and plantains it was all amazing including my mango passion fruit drink. My husband got the jerk chicken which was also amazing. The owner had great hospitality, it was our 1 year anniversary yesterday and he gave us a complimentary dessert sweet potato pone with a scoop of ice cream which was also very yummy. GREAT PLACE will be back

I was very excited to find a restaurant that serves food from Trinidad. I found familiar items on the menu, but was really disappointed with the food. The curry goat was significantly under seasoned, little to no salt and a complete absence of any other familiar herb. I was absolutely floored to find that the chicken roti was made with chicken breast and was just tasteless. Anyone familiar with roti, knows that boned in dark meet is typically used. This could be a good place If the food was better seasoned and more authentic, maybe a be chef?

Good food. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff and owner. We went on the weekend hoping to get some of the weekend specials but they were sold out of half of them. The doubles were still delicious. We will go again.

The only reason it didn't get five stars is the customer service. Normally the customer service is good. They're very warm and friendly. I was there about two weeks ago and arrived about a half hour before they were due to open. My companion and I waited patiently. When 11:00 came and they still didn't open we knocked on the door. A man answered and told us to come back in an hour because they were having server problems (server as in waitress). We told him we didn't live in the neighborhood but would it be possible for us to at least sit down and order a drink since they were technically open. He said hold on, closed the door and never came back. About 35 minutes later the owner opened the door, and told us they had worked a Carribean festival the night before and they were behind. I thought the excuse was unprofessional and inconsiderate. Lots of restaurants cater events and still manage to have the doors open timely. Other than that experience the food is great, especially the roti which is slamming!!!?

Been from NY to CA and this is some of the best authentic Caribbean food out there. Great customer service, intimate environment and lots of parking. Ate with a part of 6 and everyone loved it. 5 stars, please support them!!

Cute little caribbean spot in Long Beach a little ways out from the Convention Center. We ordered three dishes, and all were pretty good, but not stellar. -Ox Tail soup base was fantastic, full of flavor. The meat was tender, but lacking in enough salt or flavor. Base was wonderful though. -Whole fried fish was fried then topped with a tomato-based sauce. It was tasty, but the fish flavor was a little strong for my taste. It was served on a bed of rice and sauteed veggies. -Curry shrimp was pretty good too. Served with a ton of rice, there were 7 shrimps to the order, and they were fresh, plump, and well-cooked. Curry was sweet and light. -Fried plantains didn't have a sugar coating (like Cuban plantains do) but they were a nice little naturally sweet chip to eat as an appetizer. -Bus-up-stop is a torn up roti to be eaten with sauces. This was great too and very authentic. -Soursop juice was delicious cold. Service was friendly and quick.
