Millstone Restaurant Smoked Bbq

Not sure how this place considers themselves a BBQ joint. The BBQ sauce was nothing but sugar and very very thin. I was extremely disappointed with my meal, I ordered the BBQ Chicken Melt. The chicken was a super strange texture, almost like it was processed and then put back into breast form. It had ZERO flavor and honestly seemed like it was microwaved vs a true traditional grill cooked breast. They used what looked to be a Colby Jack cheese which also had ZERO cheese flavor and the bacon was eh. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this dish. However the sweet potato was baked to perfection and the butter was good..but why the heck would you provide such a large amount of cinnamon and sugar as a topping and not offer a traditional honey? Odd. The Cesar side salad was fine, nothing special. Their little corn bread muffins were very good, as was the fried Green Beans. For 2 people ordering the same meal, hot appetizer, and two cokes it was $50. The service initially was great when we were seated and drink order taken, after that it went down hill from there. I would not recommend this place and feel bad for those who think this is an actual BBQ style restaurant.

Best BBQ in Ohio. Sweet & Smoky or Spicy house BBQ sauces. I had baked beans, pulled pork sandwich (ordered slaw to go on top proper southern style) with fries. The fries were nice & crisp, beans very good, sauces excellent bun was toasted. Came with cornbread minis, also good. I'd go back again & again.

Awesome (and quick) service! We were told it would be a 25 min wait on Mon at about 6 but ended up waiting about 15 which was a pleasant surprise. The side salad it great and the ranch dressing is awesome. The ribs slid right off the bone. Weren't too saucy but they offer two different ones and I liked the sweet one the best. Brisket was good but I could have skipped that to eat more ribs. Beans were spicy , served too cold but we're good tasting. Fries were cooked crispy and perfect. Mini corn muffins were sweet and abundant! Would definitely come back here again!! A+

We had a fantastic server "David" but all the staff that we had contact with were very friendly. We created our own sampler and had, pulled pork chips, burnt ends wrapped in bacon, and pulled pork rolls. They also provided complimentary corn muffins. Everything was delicious. The only possible improvement would be to add more chips and topping to that particular appetizer.

Went here for lunch and all the meat that hit the table was dry af. Cornbread came out cold and rather hard as though it had sat out for a while. Got pulled pork nachos, meat was cold and dry, cheese wasn’t completely melted. Ordered The ribs and choice ribs were boiled, asked the waiter how they were cooked said that they put it on the barbecue and then the grill. There were no grill marks on the meat at all. So that’s a lie, my choice was the brisket which came out dry as well with very dry crust as though it had been sitting out for a while as well. Refused to eat it and sent it back to the kitchen. Husband got a smokehouse burger and took it to go since my meal was so bad. The owners here also own the Hungry Buffalo and both menus are very limited for the types of restaurants that they are. Both places lack seasoning on all items as well. Don’t waste your time or money at either location!!

The wait was shorter than what was said, which is great. We came in at 3 PM on Saturday. The place was busy. Our server was great, she was very nice and very quick. This was our first time here. Definitely we'll be back. We ordered bacon wrapped for appertizers. Our main entrees were texas beef brisket, and chopped steak. They all were delish. Make sure you order the sweet potatoes fries, so good. And the corn bread was so delish.

So we went to the patio because we had our dog. People were sitting out waitresses were coming and going and we were comfortable but wondering why we were not getting waited on. After 15 minutes of watching The waitresses I went in and found out you needed to see the hostess inside who would then take you back outside and give you menus so that a waitress would wait on you. When Misty came out she was diligent and friendly and brought our drinks (great margarita) right away. The food followed shortly after and they brought us a container of water for our puppy. The nachos appetizer had plenty of pulled pork but was shy on the cheese in my opinion. All in all Misty was great but millstone smoke BBQ is probably a no-go for a future visit. Too many friendlier options with better food.
