The food was so good, and dessert was to die for. So rich you'd never guess it was raw and vegan. The absolute best raw vegan restaurant I've ever been to. The owner is lovely. She is so friendly and knowledgeable about her food and gave us samples of anything we wanted to try. We drove almost 3 hours to try this place and will be making the trip again, so worth it.
Think you’ll miss the meat? Think again. The magical way the chef/cook prepares the raw, organic fruits and veggies will blow you away. From the sauces that accompany the dishes, to the tastebud tantalizing cheesecakes. Everything my son and I tasted was delicious. Marguerite, the owner gave us tastes of our choice and we ate so much food, totally guilt free. For once I didn’t have to worry about my sensitivity to HFCS or preservatives and processed foods. The ravioli, harvest pasta, leaf wraps, salad..... I can’t wait to return. This is the only place I’ll eat cheesecake again. Don’t forget to try the Golden Mylk, I’m preparing it at home now, I loved it so much �� Thank you for a truly amazing raw vegan experience ! Hope to see you soon.
The menu is very creative in the sense that it doesn't rely on tofu or seitan. The unsweetened and raw ingredients will have me coming back. I'm surprised the Food Network hasn't filmed here, as this is a contender for the best vegan restaurant in Illinois.

I am so grateful for Marguerite and the Vegan Cafe. Because of severe food allergies to dairy and being vegetarian and gluten free, the Vegan Cafe is literally the only place I can eat out without worry of cross contamination. Their food is healthy and delicious and I would eat here every day if I could. Thank you for your wonderful cafe and for bringing healthy food to our community!

The Best Hands Down.The desserts were Absolutely the Best. The lemon bars and raspberry cheesecake were Phenomenal.

Vegan café is one of my favorite spots to go get authentic fresh vegan food, the atmosphere is always friendly, clean and the variety of food will definitely satisfy your palate.
Vegan café is reasonly priced and the food is spectacular, they have the best cheesecake you’ve ever tasted you never know it’s vegan/raw Totally yummy. You will not be disappointed, Truly a gem 🌹
