We live in a food desert in the mountains and you take great food for granted. We loved our last visit and thank you for making Kung Pao Rockfish even though it isn't on the lunch menu.
Another great day!! Having our favorite Chinese lunch!! PJ, Paul Knieser, once again, you are missed!! This restaurant is a best kept secret. It should have a line waiting to get in! Great food in large amounts with lots of amenities. Stellar service! Wonderful ambiance!

For the past year, China Garden has become my go-to Chinese restaurant in the Tri-Valley. Pre-pandemic, I use to go onsite for their lunch specials - the lunches are a strong value at around $10 and included an entrée, fried rice, chow mein, soup, salad, and spring rolls. The food is good, comes out fast, and the restaurant is clean. The wait staff is really nice too; for example, the times I've taken my Kindergarten-aged son for lunch, the primary waitress who's on the floor has been very playful towards him. These lunch specials are pretty standard fare for most Chinese restaurants that cater to American audiences.
During the pandemic, I've been taking advantage of their delivery services for dinner. This worked out pretty well given it's given me a reason to try some of the other items on their menu that I probably wouldn't have considered because I of my penchant for lunch specials. My new standard items include Spicy Crispy Tofu, Mapo Tofu, Chicken and Corn soup, and the Combination Chow Mein. I'm especially pleased with their Mapo Tofu, which reminds me of my mom's cooking and hits just the right spice levels.
Regarding deliveries, they're inexpensive at $2 within a certain radius (I think it's a little bit more if it's further out). The delivers are always the same two people - they are consistent with speedy deliveries, wearing masks, waiting 6+ feet away after ringing the doorbell to ensure that the food is collected, and generally just being pleasant.
The food was so flavorful and service is outstanding. I had the Mongolian Beef plate, the meat was very tender. My Husband had the beef broccoli, he said the same and his brother had the sweet and sour pork. All of us left satisfied! We will definitely be back.

great food , I have been coming for years. best hot and sour soup in livermore. Kung pao chicken and Mongolian beef or chicken is excellent. they do delivery also.
Decent lunch specials!
Edit: Last time we went the sweet and sour soup of the was too salty and I couldn't eat it. Also the fried noodles were a bit too oily. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was still good.
Great service and really tasty food. Everyone there is very friendly and fast & the food is delicious. I got the mango chicken with pork fried rice! Highly recommend

They make the BEST by far salt & pepper chicken wings!! I love how they put the veggies 🥕 🧅 🌶️ in it for that extra crunch it’s all about the crunch and flavors!! I would say maybe add some bell peppers too it definitely would be even BETTER!!

I ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings and let me tell you they never seem to amaze me with how well the crunch is and taste is. Soooo delicious but I also ordered wontons thinking it would be cream cheese but it wasn’t so they definitely need to address it on the menu so it doesn’t confuse people. The other one was crab and that’s not what I wanted. So I give them a four because they need to be a lil more precise on the description.
