Mrs. Fields Cookies

On Aug 2nd around 4:30, I wanted to order 24 chocolate chip Nibblers. I looked at what they had left & counted 8 in the display case. I asked if they were going to make more & wouldn't mind returning at a later time. The young female associate who came out of the kitchen replied "No" and proceeded to tell me to have a nice day in a condescending tone as I walked off. Isn't it your job to make cookies? The chocolate chip nibblers are extremely popular and sell out quick. It's not like I was requesting more to be made at 730pm with the mall closing at 8pm. My point is if you don't enjoy your place of employment, maybe it's time to consider other options. Don't punish the business owner/Operator's income because you hate your job.

After walking around the mall endlessly, my wife & I were gravitated to the Mrs. Field’s Cookies sign. As we approached the cookie counter, we decided to get a mini iced chocolate chip cookie bite. This bite is as miniature as you could get. A 3 year old could easily eat this in one bite. With that being said, the food itself had a high quality taste. The chocolate chips melt in your mouth while the frosting makes a wonderful compliment without being overbearing. This bite of heaven was complimented with a pretty big price tag. 2 of them were over $5! No matter how great the cookie is, it’s not worth $5.

We were making a trip out to Mrs. Fields to get a cookie cake for a birthday party. Mrs. fields is one hour away from our house, but we typically had good experiences so we figured it would be worth it. We did not realize in store, but they gave us an uncooked cookie cake. My mom had a few bites of the cake and got ill which is when we realized the cake was way too soft to be cooked. It practically fell apart at the touch. We decided we would call the store the next day(today) and try to get it resolved with a refund as nobody in our household has time to make the hour trip out there again until this weekend. We spoke to the manager, Jessica, and she was incredibly rude. Kept telling us she can’t give us a refund without proof (we sent pictures of the cake but she wanted us to come in with the cake today or tomorrow). Overall, she was an extremely dismissive, disrespectful employee. When we asked for a number for corporate to speak to a higher up who could help us, she responded to “google it.” We will never be going back to Mrs. Fields and we will be telling anybody who expresses interest in this company about our experience. Truly sad that what should have been a wonderful birthday has become a battle with a company just to get our money back due to an inedible, uncooked cake.

I love this place, truthfully I do, and always make a point of coming here when I'm in town. But today, while waiting to place an order for a cookie cake, the worker (who had literally only helped one family prior to myself and my friends, and one phone order), gave us a look and exasperated sigh of utter disdain before telling us we "just had to wake a second". While I can understand if he had been getting slammed with orders and customers, I personally don't think two orders within the 8 minutes it took for him to greet us was really that stressful. Regardless, the interaction was rather disappointing, and we just decided to go elsewhere.
