When ambiance, service, and food are all excellent a 5-star rating is warranted. I was drawn to The Parson’s Table by its history or origin and the reviews. Our experience most certainly lived up to the best reviews. Our server was a hard working, experienced veteran of 25 years who served wholeheartedly to please.
Shrimp for starters was beyond my anticipation. The soy ginger sauce was not too powerful and the shrimp so tender.
Hard as it may be do not make the mistake of filling up in the cornbread with creamy texture of cake.
The Parmesan encrusted chicken and short ribs dishes were tender and bursting with flavor yet did not overpower. Green beans were actually cooked and not crunchy as many farm to table kitchens prepare them and were seasoned perfectly. The garlic and leek mashed potatoes so creamy and the garlic mild so as not to overshadow the hint of leeks.
Fantastic 5-star memorable evening. I forgot to get a picture of the short ribs before they were devoured.

This is our favorite kind of place for a date night dinner. Felt really special; warm & friendly staff; possibly the best steaks (filet and prime rib) we’ve ever had. Cornbread and sides were excellent, too. We’ll do our best to make it back here any time we are in the area.

This old church that has been turned into a restaurant is absolutely amazing. If you happen to be in Myrtle Beach you definitely have to stop here for dinner. Everything we picked to eat was amazing one of the best places we picked and to end our vacation with. The bread and salad were amazing I could of sat and ate that all night. Don’t worry they will keep bringing you bread bet you can’t eat just one basket. My Nephew got the rib eye steak he said it was the best steak he has ever had. I wish I could give this place 10 stars. I would also make reservations to eat here to make sure you get a table and don’t have to wait.

The restaurant is an interesting spot. Service was very pleasant. Starters were excellent and cocktails were small but tasty. We waited more than an hour for the entrées, which were terrible. Meat was overdone and tough. Ordered fingerling potatoes and receive 3 tiny bites along with a mountain of undercooked greens. Duck, lamb, beef were bland and rubber-like. Daughter ordered plain pasta, which was over cooked and somehow still served cold. Not an experience I hope to repeat

Great experience. The sauce on the broiled seafood platter was a surprise and not on the description. It would be the only thing we would not order again. Great staff food and drinks.

The Pearson's Table offers gourmet dining in the unique setting of a former church. Our group tried the scallops, salmon, beef short ribs, and schnitzel. We were so pleased with the delicious entrées that we have booked for another evening. Reservations are a must. You may want to book two evenings because you'll definitely want to return

Really great atmosphere and food. Staff are very friendly and informative. My waiter didn’t tell my group the daily specials or anything like that, I just so happened to hear another waitress tell a different group the specials for the night. The appetizers you get before your main entree are very nice. The crackers with a spread are very hearty and wholesome. The salad is very light and delicious with the homemade dressing. My main course was duck with a raspberry chambord sauce, green beans, and sweet potato purée. It was pretty good. During my second visit I had the crab cake, and it was also pretty good. Personally I always found my meals a little underwhelming for the prices. I’m usually not as critical, but when I’m paying $30+ for a meal I expect things to be near perfect. Nothing major will be wrong with the meals, but it’s just little things. For example, there was barely any mustard sauce that comes with the crab cake. The crab cake really needed the sauce for the flavor to come through so it lacked a lot of flavor without it. I must say that the cornbread is absolutely fantastic, and probably should just be a menu item in its own lol.
