Just blown away, second year we've been back and the menu is still everything a seafood lover could hope for. Fish was caught local that day, which is something you rarely see. It tasted phenomenal. They've refurbished the place since we were last there, so it's got a cute bar now, and it's one of the only places I saw that was doing live music on a Friday. Definitely one of my top spots in North Cal, 100% try if you're a seafood lover. Thanks for the beautiful evening!

I had the pleasure of eating here again recently and what an amazing place !
They have a new chef so I was excited to try some of the new vegan options on the menu - the vegan Thai Pumpkin Soup and Ribollita. It was delicious, very flavourful and unique. Though I don't eat fish, I always appreciate that they ethically source all of their fish and other produce, so I know that I am eating at a restaurant that cares about the environment and drives to serve the best quality food to their customers. If I could rate higher I would !

The lovely couple that owns this restaurant curates a perfect experience! Food was delicious and a local jazz band played while we ate outside. So glad we stopped by during our trip and would highly recommend!

Food was really really good, the music was equally fantastic. The special squash-rings were unlike anything I have ever had, the smoked cod in ponzu sauce was excellent and the deep fried cod was crispy on the outside and perfectly flaky on the inside. The spicy kale lived up to its name, not for the faint of heart but had terrific flavor along with heat.
Sticky.Toffee.Pudding. order it, you're welcome.
Can't wait to come back!

Delicious meal! I enjoyed the ricotta salad and calamari. Both were incredible. Unfortunately I only took a photo of the calamari, but I assure you the salad had a great presentation as well.

The food is fresh, locally sourced (with the farmers' and fishers' names posted), and tastes delicious. Further, the staff is incredibly kind and the service is impeccable.

Nice little spot in Pacific Grove. Food is pretty good. I ordered the fish chowder and it was more of just a fish soup. Kinda threw me off. Also had the Ahi Poke and it was ok. I was hoping for more fish and more flavor. I’ll be back.

Definitely make a reservation,...as they are very popular and it's no wonder! This was my first visit and will not be my first. Parking is street parking, so depending on local events could be a bit challenging. About the Wild Fish Restaurant...from the moment I arrived to when I departed, everyone from the owner to the staff were nothing short of spectacular! They met everyone with a smile, answered every question and were attentive to all their customers. I had their swordfish, it was approx. 1/2" thick and was tender and moist, it came with potatoes and greens...all cooked perfectly. You must try the coconut and rum cocktail...amazing and their butterscotch desert was perfect as well. Give them a visit, you won't be disappointed!

Terrific restaurant, wonderful food, great people. And the jazz on the weekend (Friday for us) is superb! Don’t miss this gem!!!

This was the highlight meal of our weekend away in Pacific Grove. We visited on a Friday and enjoyed the live jazz, warm welcome and check-in throughout the meal by the owners, very friendly waitstaff and the food and wine pairing were delicious. The whole cooked fish was on the dry side but I think it was the type of fish. The fish collar special-of-the-day appetizer was remarkable (never had anything that delectable). I loved people watching too. Everyone enjoyed their food, the company and the camaraderie of the wait staff and music performers demonstrated the trust and care they have for each other. The menu highlights the source of the seafood which triggered a conversation with our neighboring table later in the evening. So fun!
Update from Nov 2022: we loved it so much we came back to relive the awesome seafood eating experience. Our waitress was so charming! We had to get the aged Albariño wine again (can’t find this everywhere) The fish collars were like eating Korean hot chicken wings, except they are fish “wings”. Everything is so well prepared and the co-owners and staff are delightful!
