Fireside Restaurant

This is my second time trying this restaurant and I'm really disappointed. The first time I tried it the food was just ok, decent flavors but I thought the ox tails could be more tender. Now this time around the ox tails are so tough that you can't even chew them. The jerk chicken has good flavor, but spicey. Then they charge extra for the Mac n cheese and it's horrible with some off brand cheese, very weird taste. What a waste of $50, I would not recommend and I'm surely not returning. I must have went on an off day or they are paying people to do their reviews.

New to the area. I've been trying every Caribbean spot in the area. I've been here twice before during the week but it's always crowded. Went here on a Sat around 1pm. I was in line for 25 minutes BEFORE I COULD ORDER. Only 2 other customers in front of me. They have buffet style food set out but the move EXTREMELY SLOW. No urgency for the customers. By the time I ordered the line had grown to about 12 people in line. THEY NEED EXTRA HELP or the employees need to move with a sense of urgency when they see the spot getting packed. Some of my pet peeves....buffet food not covered, saw 2 flies land on the white rice....but not many flies in the restaurant,....employees not wearing gloves, employees having extensive conversations over open food..... There are other options in the area that I'm more comfortable with. The flavor of the food was OK.

I've been to Fireside in the past, but today was different. As always, they provide excellent customer service and great food, but I also learned that they honor public servants, including teachers, for their service. That was refreshing to learn. Not only was the teacher in front of me elated that she was recognized and rewarded, I too ended up being a recipient of their generosity because of my service as well. What a way to serve the community. Thanks Fireside!! The two young ladies who served us were kind, and courteous which will ensure my return.

I visited this location on 6/29 with my niece and son Cameron it was such a warm welcome from Melissa and June immediately Melissa realized my son had autism and we began to share stories about our kids. She made me feel comfortable and she understood challenges.. Will definitely be back food was AMAZING

Me and my friends drove two hours to eat here on a weekday for lunch. First and last time for me. Women are rude to women and nice to men. The older lady obviously has a hearing and anger issues. We ordered a small and medium she made two medium and a small. Then when it was time for us to pay she dumped food off of the plate back into the pan on steam table instead of charging us for the meal. I don’t recommend this place. You definitely get what you’re paying for (garbage).
