Come here every time I stop at Goose Pond. Got their cod sandwich and fries this time, ended up paying only $9 for the whole thing before the tip. Staff was nice and everything tasted great. My wallet is happy.

Snuggled right in the middle of the downtown of the small town/city of Linton, the establishment has the small cafe feel when you enter. Finding your seat either right at the bar, where you can have a great conversation with the staff responsible of cooking your food or booth sitting with historic pictures of the town hanging over the walls throughout the diner. Within seconds of seating, a waitress will welcome you and provide service with a smile. The menu has a high variety of comfort pleasures in a pleasant price as most items are cooked fresh to order, (sides such as green beans, corn, gravy, and bulk special items may not), as the diner looks to be designed for the more (smaller) and basic finishings such as hamburgers, ham steaks, fried foods, and anything cooked on the grill....comes from the name of establishment. Friday and Saturday evenings they provide grilling outside on a gas grill to gain that extra taste of steaks and chops. Where this establishment lacks is the overall interior decor. It has been "freshened up" with new flooring and paint, but has kept it's old ways in looks and has the lack of room to expand for more visitors. The charm I'm sure keeps people coming back. The second missing star is for the "reheated" food. It is a shame to not have the freshly cooks green beans, corn, etc when you pay for a dinner. Overall this dinner is a most go while in the area (B+) when looking for the small town charms

Stopped here after spending the morning at Goose Pond. Service was great, the server was friendly. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns. The only thing that wasn't too notched was the eggs. They weren't bad just not as good as everything else. Prices were good as well.

This was a lovely little traditional mom and pop type greasy spoon. The prices were great and the food was too (remember this is not a gourmet restaurant). It reminded me of the good old days with cheap, simple, good food. The service was friendly and the serving size perfect. I miss this type of place since in my town (Bloomington) all the nice little diners are gone. The food I ordered was really fresh and hot and there was a good assortment of stuff on the menu. Definitely o good choice.
