2 Lanterns Cafe opened in the former Happy Chef location, in a recently remodeled and modern layout. Ordered a smoothie and a Mongolian beef dinner, which were both solid. Looking forward to trying additional items from 2 Lanterns Cafe.
I don't know why there are so many bad reviews about this place. The people there are very nice and the food is great for the price. This place is especially great for people or students who are on a budget and want cheap Chinese food. They have many items on their menu that usually cost one or two dollars more in other places and they usually give you free egg rolls, cookies and even fried rice for their lunch and dinner specials. They may not have the best Chinese food, but their portions are really generous and is really good for the price.
I've been coming here for years and had to write a review after biting into the crab ragoon. before even getting to it, I was missing the eggroll that usually come in lunch menus, but after biting into the ragoon, I'm sold! That was the best crab ragoon ever! Fresh, tasty and with the most stuffing I've had in one.. Yay! I gave it a 5 cause the food was amazing too.. Fried rice especially.. And the customer service was awesome! Not that they'll make a habit out of giving money away, but the Cashier did spot me a dime, which to me was awesome! And I'll totally pay it back and more! Support the locals and treat yourself to yummy take out.. I know I will again!
