This place has been open for a couple years, but I haven't been here until today. They got a little overwhelmed as I was here almost immediately right at open. They promote local and national BBQ, which I am proud of. It's important for KC to stick together. They only have a couple locations, which I also prefer to support small businesses. I got the beans and pork and it was all great! The parking is a little snug, but I didn't have any issues today.

Mudhole is a great everyday BBQ spot. The burnt ends were excellent! Juicy, and they just pulled apart. The pickle and roll were very good as well. The beans were the only weak spot. They had excellent taste, but we're a little hard. That is the only complaint I have though. The service was friendly and they welcomed this first timer in with open arms. I would definitely visit this place again if in the area. As always, I rate stars as follows: 1- not good all around, 2- some good value, but pretty common and nothing stood out, 3- a solid choice all around, 4- one of my favorites, 5- a great experience all around and very unique for the area. Also, sorry for any typos. I am a computer guy, not an English major.

My wife and I ordered the same thing the (Brisket Press) a grilled cheese with sliced brisket on it and a spicy mangoon, which came with 3 pieces only. I thought the food was good but the wife loved it. The drinks cost extra. Two dishes, one appetizer and a drink for $43.00. Good food just on the expensive side. On the same hand smoked and properly prepared meat takes time and time is money. The building and bathroom was clean but on the small side. The decorations on the walls were pretty neat.

Recommended by a friend since she knew that I am barbeque lover. The BBQ I ordered was perfectly cooked and seasoned properly. BBQ slice was thick and tender at a very reasonable price. A must try for everyone.

Great BBQ! We stopped here while visiting family on a recommendation. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly (the owner even took time to chat with us for a bit), the portions were good. The potato salad was to die for! Given the opportunity, we would stop here again. At the time of our visit, work was being completed on a second location in Gladstone.

Good BBQ, we got our food fast. The only thing is that it’s a small place to eat in .

Had some hesitations to stop here but boy I am glad I did. Very good Q and one of the best I have ever been to. Cute and cozy and very nice owners! If you are close by a sure bet.

Went here today to try it out, upon arriving, I checked out the menu and decided to order some fried cauliflower. The girl working told me it was “insanely spicy” and I probably wouldn’t like it. I asked if they had a version without spice, she said no. Moving forward, I tried to order fried pickles which they were out of. (Annoying) I settled for fried cheese curds and my husband bought a pulled pork sandwich. The cheese curds were bland, saltless, and overall not good. I didn’t even finish them. The ranch was also bland and missing the tangy flavor most restaurant ranches have. The pulled pork sandwich was tasty but nothing special. We left disappointed that this place didn’t stand out against any other barbecue place in the area.
