The Cadillac House Dining Room And Tavern

As I look at some of the other reviews, I have to wonder if some people are better at finding fault than appreciating the high points of an overall pleasurable dining experience. This restoration is gorgeous, making it a really nice venue for a meal or a drink. There are many tempting menu choices including interesting twists on several traditional dishes. I had the tavern burger as described on the menu and the combination of fixings was a real taste treat. The mac and cheese is excellent and the succotash was a serious surprise. I resisted ordering it because it brought to mind the canned vegetables of my “mid-century” past. But I totally loved this dish which included many different vegetables that I think were all roasted. That will be a regular order for me. The cheddar biscuits with butter and apple butter that were served first to the table were amazing. I could have easily made a meal on those. Our food came out of the kitchen quickly. The bar drinks were no slower than any other establishment I dine at regularly. Unlike most establishments, the drinks here are a generous pour with quality liquors. Who can argue with that? : )
