Finally got by there and he had just gotten fresh halibut and OH MY GOODNESS. I pan roasted it and it was the best I’ve ever had. Lee was so helpful while I was in the store. I’ll be back soon and often!

Was scrambling last minute to find live Lobster for my girlfriends birthday dinner. Needed them by Saturday called on a Wednesday without high hopes. The gentleman that answered the phone was super polite and accomidating, and said he could get them by Friday. My order for x2, 1 1/2 lbs live lobsters was placed. Friday morning he had them in shop at 10 am as promised, and BY FAR cheaper than anywhere I vould find online to ship them to me (by half). The girlfriends birthday dinner was a massive success, thanks to them. Highly recommend, and this will here on out be my source for fresh seafood.

What an Absolutely Awesome Experience we had today meeting Mike at Lexington Seafood Co. This gentleman knows his stuff and is a true gem to find in Lexington. We feel like fools for not searching him out sooner. We picked up some Rainbow Trout as well as some Snow Crab for the weekend and we are so excited and will follow up with pictures as well as comments....but if it's anywhere near what we expect, considering the freshness and the overall customer experience, i'm sure it'll be AWESOME!! Thanks Mr. Mike!!!

REVIEW EDIT: Since my prior review, I've been here 2-3 times where the fish I purchased was not fresh. The last time (which is honestly the LAST time I'll go here) our grouper was simply inedible. Such a waste of nearly $17! Before that it was the tuna. Since I eat it raw, I just couldn't take a chance. Bottom line: when it's good its great. But when it's not? Well, I just can't take that risk nor recommend this place any longer to others. Such a shame.... ‐------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've been looking for a place to buy some sashimi grade tuna to make poke and its not so easy in Central Kentucky. Until I stumbled upon this place. Its not cheap, but the fresh stuff won't be cheap. Not even on the Florida coastline. Tuna was about $28/lb and I splurged on some grouper too. I can promise you, you won't find fresher fish anywhere (my hubby's from FL and is used to catching this type of fish around the Keys so I know what I'm talking about). The tuna I used made a very good poke, not Hawaii level amazing but that was due to the recipe NOT the tuna. The selection here was wider than what I was expecting and it was a revolving door of customers for a Tuesday. Since we aren't eating out at restaurants, this will definitely be the new go-to for nice dinners at home!

Excellent seafood. Best service from a small business owner who thrives by serving customers and is committed to quality. Excellent crab legs, shrimp, fresh choices of tuna, scallops, salmon etc. Strongly encourage all to try and highly recommend the quality and price.

I've been here a few times and had good service every time. The owner knows his stuff. Decent selection. The salmon was very good!

Horrible, overly priced to the brink of price gouging. Bought balsamic vinegar it is absolutely horrible. The seafood looked bad frozen before expiration date as to make money.... shame on them. Had I not been from the beach with a daughter working i the seafood industry, I would have thought this was acceptable

Huge shout out to Lexington Seafood. I discovered the day before NYE that no grocery in Lexington sells live lobsters any longer. In despair I called Lexington Seafood and was told I would have to order them. I did. I picked them up yesterday and we boiled them last night. BEST lobsters I have ever had outside Maine! No more lobsters from yucky grocery tanks for me. These were the real deal! (And their other seafood is excellent too!)

Wonderful.... Perfectly cooked scallops which is not an everyday sort of thing in lexington. I wish I had made it down here much, much sooner. That's my loss, but you should check it out ASAP. He's a genius with seafood and has an amazing selection of both fresh and frozen stuff on hand. I can't wait to find a worthy recipe for the alligator he has in the freezer as well as the 8-12 shrimp. They're huge. I wish it was grilling season for those alone!!

LOVE THE FOOD, the dining area is "Intimate". Had been wanting to try Lexington Seafood for lunch for a while. I had purchased fish to cook at home before and it was excellent. I went with a friend and we ordered the Sea Bass and a Crab Cake. <br/><br/>After ordering it was a bit awkward, there were two gentleman reading a paper at the only table in the store, the only remaining seats were at a super small counter that sat two people, In order to sit down and not distrurb the people reading the paper I had to climb into the counter seat and turn to face my friend (almost in his lap). Even sitting like this, I still repeatedly got elbowed in the back everytime the guy changed the page of his newspaper. I personally like having personal space, so I did not enjoy this. When we got our food the gentleman who had been elbowing me in the back with his paper, asked if I needed the salt shaker or the pepper shaker, I did not. He then got up and left.<br/><br/>From this point on I enjoyed everything. The Sea Bass was excellent, delicate, light, flaky and well seasoned, the asparagus was tender and tasty. The Crab Cake was meaty with no filler, and the crab meat shined, while the sauce with the Crab Cake was excellent, I didn't even really need it, but I did finish it up.<br/><br/>I loved the food and will return on a day when I can sit outside, order to go, or get the prized single table.

Just had lunch there and it was AMAZING. I had the char the girls I went with had the crab cake and the salmon and they did not disappoint. For good quality seafood the price is perfect and ill be back!

The $10-$15 price point is at lunch. There is nothing for under $12 at dinner service. This is NOT in the moderate price range, please change.

YUM! Delicious! WOW!. Seafood Market that serves it on site! Very limited seating, two small tables and 4 bar stools, BUT it was delicious! I ordered the Seabass and slaw...YUM! Loved it! Will do that again!
