Mandarin

Went here today and they were closed with no explanation posted on the door. Was actually picking up an order for doordash so ended up coming here and forfeiting about $20 worth of pay. ( Why was doordash still accepting orders from a closed restaurant?). I found a a support ticket over chat at 5:40 p.m. on March 12th 2019. If doordash sends anyone in order after that time then it is doordash's fault.

Visited for the first time yesterday. We're still sushi newbies, but Mandarin had a wide array of sushi for us to try. Their menu of other traditional fare was also extensive. Everything we ate was delicious! They seemed a bit understaffed when we arrived, but our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to going again.

We went on Christmas. It was 5 pm there were not many tables filled. I called as I knew most people were closed. They said yes were open come on. When we got there a guy looked confused asked if we had a reservation. I said no he went around for like 5 min then came back and sat us. Our waitress came around at first was fine. But I am from out of town visiting family so I wanted to look at their menu and she wanted an order so I asked for time. Their menu is huge, asked for drinks and appetizers she tried to get our order again. I said we still need a minute she rudely said we were taking too long that her restaurant is too busy and that we didn't have a reservation. I was not happy. Our food came out one at a time. Which is ridiculous. It took like 30 min for everyone to have their food. Apart from each other. Food portion were enormous but priced very well. My seoul bowl had egg shell in it. I will not return.

The food might have been good, but I wouldn’t know because I waited 30 minutes to be seated but never did. I was the only person waiting to be seated. I noticed 2 empty tables, 1 empty booth, and not a single person sitting at the bar. I was acknowledged once by a staff member after I had been waiting for 10 minutes, and the entire time I was waiting the two waitresses that were working seemed to be overwhelmed with what they already had going on, whatever that was, because all I noticed them doing was walking back and forth from the kitchen to the cash register while the bartender stood behind the bar watching television. After 30 minutes of this, I decided to leave. I may try them again and see if they’ve got their act together my second time through.
