The Catch

Had never been to The Catch before but was in the mood for some seafood so we decided to give it a try. It was really good. We tried a little of everything, shrimp was lightly fried without being crunchy, the catfish was breaded well, and light and fluffy on the inside. We also did the half pound of boiled shrimp with potatoes and corn. The garlic butter was not overly oily and had a nice taste but could have had a bit more garlic flavor to it. The corn on the cob was a bit soggy but still had a nice flavor. The gumbo tasted like it may not have been fresh but still had a nice punch to it. Overall, very good place to eat and we got all that food for less than $40 including drinks, so I was very pleased with the “bang for our buck”. Will definitely stop in to eat again.

Such good food! I did not like catfish because of past experiences with bad catfish but the catfish here was so good! We had the whitefish and desserts and it was so delicious! Good food. Good atmosphere. Good service. Friendly staff! Loved it! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because the key lime pie needs a new recipe. It was not good at all. The banana pudding and beignets were delicious! 😋

first time here won’t be your last;) the staff was So friendly and the food exceeded expectations. and reasonably priced. we got the gator basket, blacked shrimp tacos (best I’ve ever had in my life) to share, and catfish and shrimp basket. it was all so tender, fresh, juicy and crispy. 20 out of 10 highly recommended

The Catch is a place I’ve always wanted to try they’re food, especially they’re fried catfish. The cashier/order taker had an extremely bad attitude as I was placing my order and to his other coworkers. I came in to have a wonderful dinner for Valentine’s day. The food as you can see down below was disgusting which is ‘The Cajun Special’. My rice was hard and undercooked, the red beans tasted weird, the fried catfish was pink and not cooked all the way, my garlic bread was too buttery and the only thing that was good on my plate were the 2 small hush puppies. I’m happy I did not order a drink because I would’ve been very unsatisfied. I hope in the near future these issues resolve. They need professional cooks who knows how to cook and a more professional staff with customer-friendly experiences

I’ve been coming here for a few years and am never disappointed. The whitefish is wonderful and their fries are amazing! We tried something new last night, the admirals platter (fried) and the fried pickles. Yum! The breading is light and flaky and the portions are large. My husband and I couldn’t finish the food and we enjoyed every bite! The atmosphere is laid back and friendly, playing oldies music that had us dancing in our seats. lol The quality and flavor of the food ‘hooked’ us the first visit and we keep coming back because the staff is so very friendly and engaging. We had interaction with three different team members and all were absolutely delightful. In this time when people are stressed, teams are overworked, short handed and can be snippy, the smiles and attention from the crew at The Catch bring a welcome, feel good vibe. And then they serve up a fantastic meal!

Very delicious fish, shrimp, gumbo etc… I’ve ate here before and always loved it. Today I had grilled shrimp, fries, hush puppies and rice. Absolutely great! Also Shawn behind the counter is top notch!!! He takes care of every concern, need, or question on your visit here. He makes you feel comfortable like your at home. Awesome guy can’t say enough about him. 👍🏻 Come stop by and grab a bite. You’ll definitely enjoy the food and service.

This place is did not meet my expectations. I don’t know where to start. From the moment we walked into the Lewisville location we felt sick. The floor was nasty, the booths were nasty, food waste all over the place, and everything you touch was nasty. Next it looked like customers just eat here all the time and no one ever cleans up. I had to ask for my table to be clean. Nothing is wipe down and they were out of everything we wanted to eat. The staff was friendly but I can tell they are young with no self pride in their work. No one took the time to make sure the place was clean, items re-stocked and condiments refilled. The tv they have in the place look like it’s about to blow out in any minute. You ate literally eating next to trash cans that look like it has never Ben cleaned. The food was okay. It was almost uneatable. I tasted like they leave the food out all day and the food goes out as order. Everything tasted like it has been sitting for hours. Nothing taste as if it was made fresh. I spent over $80 on my family in it was a waste of money. We threw it away and walked out. The health inspector need to be called on this place. Our dishes was dirty. I never left a review this bad before and I feed like this is needed. Maybe the owner will see this and will force change. Don’t waste your money and your family time. The drinks selection was poor. I visit this place on 3/20/2022 around 4pm

Tried based on the reviews. Nice menu leading me to believe I was in for some good seafood. My oyster basket was 90% breading and some tough chewy oysters. My biggest concern was the cleanliness of the restaurant. Seemed like they just didn’t care? Tables, floors and drink station were very dirty along with the bathrooms- I shutter to think what the back of the house looked like….
