Mint Bar & Grill

The Mint, what a place, if one was to go back into the kitchen they’d see the cross contamination. There meats are being carelessly touched together, aside from that the cooks neglect washing there hands when going between raw and cooked foods. I have seen numerous staff touch something dirty and continue on with food handling. Aside from the poor restaurant management and the cheap store bought food, there prices are too high for the low quality dishes they produce. The only two things they have going for then is the crowd they’ve already fooled and they decent but small eating space.

The Mint was awesome! I had the ribeye special and it was cooked to perfection. The steak truly was fantastic. Every dish at the table was well prepared and packed with flavor. In addition to the palatable quality the food presentation was outstanding. The service was superb and we hardly had to wait for our dishes. I highly recommend The Mint.

From a local: Go to Tall Boys Tavern for a real treat! Not what it's cracked up to be unless you want a good expensive drink. The food all tastes the same after a couple meals. They fancy it up with same 3 sauces that comes on EVERYTHING. Mostly it is deep fried everything except the tough steaks. Not only that the servers do a good job and try to help you by sneaking you to go boxes for desert or left overs. They know they will get into trouble for allowing you to take your PAID FOR food home??? Especially desert, you are required to eat it In the restaurant. Never have I heard of this before. Maybe the owner is too cheap for to go boxes, not sure. They treat their staff badly and have no respect for repeat customers.

I've been going to The Mint for 15 years. Started going back when my wife and I were in high school. I took her here for our prom dinner. 15 years later the food is the same. Amazing. Laid back atmosphere with a small but consistent menu. Full bar. If you're in Lewistown and wanting a great dinner I couldn't recommend anywhere before The Mint.
