Place is totally disgusting. Health department needs to make a visit. We waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the table to at least take a drink order. Mind you we are the only people there besides 3 guys drinking at the bar. Our drinks finally came (cokes) after 25 minutes and the glasses were filthy and the soda tasted like all carbonation no syrup. Finally our food came after 45 minutes of being there mac and cheese bites and mozzarella sticks and I am not exaggerating when I say this. .. the food was unrecognizable to what was what. I honestly thought we got the wrong order. The mozzarella sticks looked chicken tenders. The oil was so old that there was some brown grease oozing on the plate. Needless to say we never took 1 bite. There is much more to this story but I'll leave at that.

Our first time, my wife and I had the full Rustic experience. I am now intimately familiar with every detail inside of this place, since our food took an hour and a half. The cuisine was delectable. The fried clams that I ordered had the appearance of breakfast links and the texture and flavor of rubber turds. The salsa-like cocktail sauce was truly a treat and melded perfectly with the dish, having no hint of flavor. The vegetable medley could have been no other than Green Giant frozen veggies with cheese. Delightful. My wife was pleased to receive a world record lake perch filet (definitely not walleye according to our server). It is a shame that they didn't mount this jumbo king size perch, because it would have really complimented among the rest of the decor. P.S. - there is no dessert menu

Saturday night 8/20/16 we decided to take my sister and her family to the Rustic Inn for dinner. We had been looking forward to trying this restaurant since we moved to the area three weeks ago. When we entered there was no hostess or any wait staff to seat us, we waited and finally found a table and sat ourselves. Eventually a waitress came and asked if we needed menus. We ordered drinks, there were 5 of us, we decided to ask for two separate checks, she became very confused, as to how to do it....We ordered our meals, and had the salad bar, which was fresh but needed to be restocked. We were there over an hour, and started hearing other patrons asking how much longer for their food, another half hour passed, and we heard someone asking to see the owner, the owner was yelling and very insulting to this table of seven. It was very upsetting, especially to my 9 year old niece, who became scared.... about ten minutes later the cook came out to address a patrons complaints, and he start yelling at them and told them to leave, we had received two of the five meals by then, my vegetables & fries were cold, the fish was slightly warm. We then asked if the other three were ready so we could take them home, she walks away and in a few minutes another waitress walks up and yells at us saying "I hope your happy, you made her cry". That was it, we got up and left. They needed a hostess, a bartender, experienced wait staff, cooks and someone to coordinate in the kitchen. Very disappointing. Very unprofessional and needless to say we shall never go there again....M. McMahon & T. Voyles

What an awesome bar and owner operator. Ernie is a great host and cook. I was snowmobiling with some friends and took care of us like family. Right off the trail near Lewiston. Great place after golf also.

The rustic inn is the perfect place wether snowmobiling or quads, its right on the trail .Awesome place to stop in , have a cold beer, and talk about what ever is on your mind with the owner ! Ernie is his name , great guy , good conversation and cold beer. Tell him the firefighters from Sterling heights recommended the place.

Me and my family went snowmobiling and happened to show up here. I got a grilled cheese sandwich that was $8 and it was cold, the cheese wasn't melted, there was literally one slice of cheese on the sandwich and the fries were soggy. There were 8 people total in our group and half of the people's food was cold and was not worth the price. Will not be returning
