We came on a Saturday afternoon around 1 pm. The place was about half way full but the staff was closing down for a large party of 60 coming in shortly after us. They were extremely honest and straight forward about being busy which was much appreciated.
Once our food arrived, the owner came out to tell us that a lot of the cooks were out with the flu and that they were swamped with large parties that afternoon. She sat with us to make sure the food was cooked to our liking and was willing to remake anything if we wanted (which we did not, the food was incredible). Everyone was extremely polite and kind and the food was amazing! Although they were busy, our food came out in a short time and the server checked on us often. We were just passing through but if we are ever in town again we will definitely be returning!

This is one of the best places to eat in Lenoir! The service makes you feel like you are eating at home with a funny and loving family! The food is great too !!!

Loved this restaurant experience. The building and decor is very interesting. The owner came by our table and was very friendly. The bar options were great and included local brews. The wait staff was very attentive. The food was delicious. The wait for seating and our food when ordered was minimum. This was my second visit and I will be back next time I'm in town

Foo d was adequate . Service was prompt. Chili was not delivered hot enough and arrived 5 minutes before rest of dinners. 6 patrons in all. Bathrooms ok. Not a fav of ours.

My husband and I came for dinner here to celebrate our anniversary. We are from out of state so we didn’t know what to expect. For a nice casual dinner this place is perfect. The food was beyond delicious. The service was quick and friendly. The 1841 Cafe is our reason for returning to Lenoir.!

I have hosted numerous events here, and on all occasions 1841 has gone above and beyond for me.
The staff is wonderful, food is phenomenal, every experience has been top notch!
The owner and staff have always accommodated my decor requests, layout of the party room, and menu.
Taco Bar, Margarita Bar, Mini Sliders, anything I want they have done.
I will never book an event anywhere else.
Thank you to everyone at 1841 for my numerous occasions and memories made!

Love this place. Vickie and Mom setzer sure do make you feel like family. They are family to me and I sure love seeing them every time me and my husband or mom go. Food is always good and so are the drinks! Vickie made me a drink called Bettlejuice the day I got married 😂🤣. If you’re not from the area and are in Lenoir go check this place out!

Great blackberry drinks for the blackberry festival. I had looked at the menu online before we got there. I had already chosen what I wanted to eat. When we got there, I ordered ,but was told I couldn't get it because they have a different menu for the blackberry festival. It was a sandwich, but would not make it.

Came to town for a funeral and ended up eating here twice in 2 nights. They were so accommodating to us, especially the first night when we called ahead to make sure they could serve more than 20 of us right before they closed. The food was delicious and the owners/staff went above and beyond to make us feel great. I cannot say enough about the great service! Thanks 1841 cafe!
