Food Was Fantastic. Service was Great and the Sweet Tea was Nice and Sweet 😋
I don't see how there are so many bad reviews about this place. It's not very often I get to come stop by for a Break from the Road but when I do I make sure to stop at this little hole in the wall.
There's a nice and fun atmosphere and fast service here with this staff. Everyone is usually having a good time. Yeah some things might be missing from the menu but that's just a reason to come back next time when it's available!
Stop with the negativity and find the good this Stop as to Offer. Thank you very much again. I'll sleep good tonight on a full stomach!!!!

Yesterday, while driving from TX to FL, I stopped at the Red Onion Grill and had their Monday special: chicken fried steak with black eyed peas, sweet potato fries, and white gravy on the side. I also had sweet tea. It was unremarkable. The steak reminded me of those from high school. The sweet potato fries were crispy and good, and the blackeye peas were fine with salt and pepper on them. The service was a bit slow even though there were two servers for the five tables. Many diners came in to order takeout. If driving through the area again, I would not stop there again.

Ordered the king of the road sandwich and mac and cheese tots. The food was great and a pretty good portion. The meat is pretty good quality which is surprising for a small location. The staff was honestly quite rude at first. But, came around slow during my about 20 minute wait for food. To be honest it seem like they didn't want to serve me. But after I ordered $22 worth of food they became nice. I didn't tip and got the order to go.

2 pork chops and 2 sides and cornbread for 9 bucks (normally 10) sound like an ok price right? Yeah NOT! They were out of every side I tried to order, it was a long wait, the cornbread was substituted for a piece (the tiniest end) of texas toast and the chops were so small and thin they weren't worth the two bites per chop. The sweet potato was burnt, dry and not even fully cooked in the middle, I dont even trust that the sweetpotato was fit for a dog (I sure wouldn't feed it to mine) If your the wrong color you going to get the bottom of barrel as far as portions and quality of food go. There are better options down the road. Not spending my money here again Jimmie! Last time the food wasn't as pathetic but still wasn't anything I plan on repeating, especially after this go around.
