It's a local place as the staff (waitress and two chefs) knew just about everyone's name. It was my first time there and I stopped by around noon. The Monte Cristo is what I ordered and it was absolutely delicious. It's not gourmet but it is certainly scrumptious food. The fries were standard, nothing special. The waitress handled the place like a boss and with a smile. She didn't look stressed but managed the place with a calm manner and in a timely fashion. I have absolutely zero complaints about my visit!
Started working for Dartmouth on weekends 2 years ago. I'm not from that area, so I eat out when I'm there, so in that time I've been able to sample a lot of the breakfast establishments in the area. Many are good, but the Lebanon Diner has become my go-to place in the Upper Valley. Great food, service is excellent, and the staff are friendly--as are many of their regulars. Just there again this past Saturday--same result.

Great little local breakfast spot! The kitchen is right behind the bar so you can see everything going on which is nice. And the owner is cooking too. Makes it feel like a nice towny restaurant. They serve up some delicious French toast so I definitely recommend those!
I'm a bit of a food snob (being from Jersey and all), so right off the bat I'm very critical of the food I choose to eat. Walking in and I'm greeted right away with a smile and shown to a table. The place smells awesome. The food comes quickly and if you look at the pictures you can tell that the chef took pride in his dish. This isn't just some old generic Sysco food delivery stuff. This is farm fresh, locally acquired food stuffs. The foot traffic seemed to be all locals, and it's usually the local population that knows where the best spots are. I will be going back again!
Great staff and customer service. Food was ready in no time. Fresh and delicious. Nice breakfast spot.
The Lebanon Diner has the lightest fluffiest Belgian waffles I have ever had. Believe me these are NOT an Eggo. It comes with strawberries and whipped cream if you like and maple syrup. One fills the plate and cures that need to have a splurge every once in a while.
One of the other must have things when I go is the corned beef hash. Made from scratch it is hands down the best hash I have ever had. Corned beef hash can often be very salty however theirs is not. They have come up with a recipe that has all of the yummy goodness without feeling like you drank a whole bucket of brine with it. It has nice flavor and it has a pleasing consistency as well.
The DIner is often busy with local patrons who come back again and again not only because of the good food but because the staff is friendly.
They are located on the end of the mall close to the handicap parking spots and their door has a push button to help assist in opening the door for those who may need it.
They have both counter seating and tables. It's a nice place to have a cozy breakfast, lunch or just some coffee with a friend. I'm told their lunches are very good too ( I only say it that way because I am hooked on their breakfast). Don't just take my word for it though. Go and check it out yourself. Enjoy !
It’s great little diner. Nothing fancy, just good food.
Perfect. We had toast, a breakfast burrito, home fries and pancakes. Everything was awsome, but the pancakes were the best I've ever had. Super fluffy and flavorful. The locally sourced real maple syrup was the icing on the cake.
Well done to the very friendly staff, you've got a repeat customer here.
