Cherry Creek Catfish

Finally found a great catfish restaurant near Austin. The catfish fillets were lightly breaded and perfectly fried. I got the Cherry Creek Trio plate. Included 3 catfish fillets, 3 butterfly shrimp and 2 ribs. The ribs were surprisingly good as were the shrimp. Love that jalapeno tartar sauce! We will be back.

Our 2nd time eating here in the last two years. Food was great and portions were large. I had the fried shrimp dinner. The shrimp were large a and the batter was light and fresh tasting. We had the onion rings and fried pickles too. Both were really tasty. This is a good restaurant to share a plate with your spouse or date because of the size of the portions. Don't forget to order the jalapeno tartar sauce, it's awesome!

Meh. I'm not sure, but I think nearly everything on the menu is fried. I suppose that's how it's supposed to be. Don't get me wrong, I'm exactly the kind of gal that likes me some fried seafood. But in this instance I was overwhelmed. I think it's a bit too pricey for what it is. But they definitely serve you a lot of food. However, I feel like they are sacrificing flavor for quantity.
