Papi's Cuban And Caribbean Grill

Loved the food in this restaurant. The flavor in every dish is very authentic. And what a surprise, all the great flavor with very low prices on the menu! Recommend this place if you are in the mood of eating something delicious on budget. The most expensive dish I saw in the menu was $20. This place is very kid friendly, lots of families where there eating with their children. There is live music on the weekends. This makes the the place very lively and fun!

For all the hype, I expected a lot more. I grew up in Florida, so I know what a Cuban sandwich should be like and this wasn't it. Too much bread to meat ratio with too much mayo. I had the shredded chicken with onions and peppers... It was fairly dry and only 3 small pieces of pepper. The beans were nice as were the plantains. The service was less than desirable as our server cared more about socializing around the bar than paying attention to us. Her circling the tip suggestion while at the table was a bit ridiculous. Maybe the issues are isolated to this one location. I think maybe next time I'll try the one near work instead of home.
