Quiet, cozy, out of the way deli was just perfect for this hungry lady. Staff was on top of it. Very polite and efficient with orders. They recommended the wheat berry bread for my sammie and it was DELICIOUS with ham and cheddar horseradish (just the right spice). My side for the special was potato salad which was DELISH also.

This is a hidden gem in Lawrence. My wife and I live the sandwiches and cakes and try to go as often as possible. The Rachel (turkey and sauerkraut) has become one of my favorite sandwiches. Additionally, the staff is always friendly and flexible with order. Do not hesitate to order any sandwich on the menu.

I was here for a power lifting competition and this was right down the street. I got a grilled cheese with meat and jalapeños. It was awesome! Their menu is great but they seem happy to sort of make what you want. I liked the fact it was like homemade. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

Stopped in to check it out since we moved to the neighborhood. The ladies behind the counter were so sweet and attentive. Picked up a slice of “Sunshine Cake”, The best lemon cake I have ever had.
