Taqueria Julia

Several of us went to Julia's Bakery for lunch. They serve authentic Mexican food. I ordered 3 tacos - carnitas (slow cooked pulled pork) on a corn/maiz soft shell, a side of rice and beans, and a sweet tea. Just look at that pic of the tacos. Makes me hungry again. The service was friendly, quick and our food arrived hot and tasty. I like the fact they have 3 or 4 different levels of heat in their salsas, from mild to much hotter (picante). Prices are reasonable. Definitely recommended.

I used to eat here pretty regularly a few years ago when I was a student at JCJC, then I moved to Louisiana 3 years ago. I have tried many new Mexican restaurants in my area hoping to find something that compares to how good this is. While I was town visiting family today I knew I had to stop for some steak tacos on my way home and they were even better than I remember them. I’ve never had a bad meal at this place and have never been able to find anywhere else that makes tacos as good as these. Everything is always delicious and customer service is always excellent! I don’t come “home” often but when I do I always try to squeeze stopping here into my agenda.

We stopped in this town before heading to our next stop the next day and we got the surprise of delicious food at this restaurant. We are Hispanics so we know what’s good (just saying). This place has the best cocktail shrimp!!! Shrimp fajitas, wow don’t get me started definitely a must try. The tacos de Azada (beef) well I’ve had better, it was to much fat but it’s still good if you like the fat. Horchata (rice drink) and pineapple drink, Oh My Goodness wow! YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE! Not even joking, oh may I add that we stopped on our way back before hitting the road to home (AL) to eat AGAIN!!!!!!!! That’s how good it is. If you don’t think it’s good, not sure what to tell you. I write allot of reviews so I feel like I can give this place more stars if I could! Not to mention the staff are excellent. Now that you read so far on my review, do yourself a favor and just go eat at this place okay?!!!!
