Hunan China

Not sure what people are complaining about. Had the General Tso chicken, shredded crispy beef and wonton soup. Everything was good. The crispy beef was nice and crispy, though a bit on the sweet side for my taste. General Tso had chunks of white meat, no filler. Wonton soup was decent, not revelational but not bad either. They were fast and took contactless payment. Person on the phone was nice and courteous. I didn’t feel rushed to order at all. Would go again.

Was a little skeptical based on the previous reviews but thankfully I tried my luck and food was delicious! I called ahead of time and ordered sesame chicken, pint of pork fried rice, white rice and 5 piece fried chicken wings. The sesame chicken's portion was great, it tasted sweet and fresh. The pork fried rice had that NY-chinese restaurant flavor, it brought back memories. The white rice was good as well. The fried chicken had the perfect crispness and flavor. This place is a must try. When you get there their restaurant follows social distancing guidelines and only allow about 2 people inside which it would be beneficial to call ahead and you can be in and out right away. They have a huge plexi-glass over their counter that covers the register and the kitchen completely. To pay they have a super tiny space for you to hand over your method of payment. I called, they said food was going to be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived at exactly the 10 minute mark and my food was already ready and well packaged ready to go!

RIP OFF WARNING: This place is cutting corners to save money. I ordered hot & sour soup and the size they gave was 1/2 as big as the usual containers that are standard at any Chinese place, and they were not even filled up!!!! This container is the size little dipping sauces usually come in. Shameful. Food was flavorless, too.

Finally, we found excellent Chinese food. I am a Veggie so its hard to find tasty takeout. I love Hunan China's vegetable fried rice, spring rolls, and the broccoli and garlic sauce. Oh yeah, I almost ordered the egg drop soup out of habit then felt a little sad that I couldn't. Luckily they have a vegetable tofu soup with a flavorful broth and PLENTY bright and colorful vegetables. Hubby enjoyed the General Tso's chicken and fried rice. Yummy!
