I made a detour here yesterday for a late lunch instead another restaurant. Couldn't resist Korean. The banchan came quickly. There was an apparent coleslaw among the 3 dishes. Never had that before, don't know if it's really Korean. My very pleasant and efficient server later offered refills of the banchan. The bibimbap was generous overall though the meat was a little skimpy for me, though I'm your average overfed white American used to big portions and I suspect the portion was typical for the average Korean! There was enough food that I took some home, as well.
The food was quite good with plenty of flavor. Don't laugh - the fried egg was delicious! It's not the best Korean I ever had (I'm from SF), but good enough to return and try their other dishes.
I noted this was a late lunch - when I asked the server if the lunch prices were still in effect, she said no, but kindly gave me the discount anyway.
Finally, the restaurant was rather busy despite the hour, with mostly Koreans including a large family group who clearly dine there often.
I'm excited to go back.
Excellent food, amazing service, have a bit of patience when they are busy.
Extremely nice staff, food is traditional and excellent.
Home made delicious kimchi, reasonably priced
Everything on the menu that I have tried here is great.
Truly 5 stars
The photos speak for itself. If you’re looking for authentic Korean food, I would very much recommend this place. The food is amazing and the prices are even better!
My favorite Korean restaurant of all time! Family owned and small place but they sell Korean and other Asian snacks at the door while you wait for the one waitress to seat you. Cannot really blame them for being understaffed or slow, the pandemic has really hit minority family businesses hard.
The food is always amazing and at a decent price, although not cheap. The banchan (side dishes that come after you order) are really good and leaving you even more hungry, which is great when you have a lot of food to finish as my boyfriend and I did! The staff are extremely kind and we will definitely be returning.
My search for authentic Korean food has been satisfied. Seoul Korean restaurant has a varied menu with many options. It was clean and Covid spaced, six foot, masks required. I ordered Bilgogi , Korean bbq beef. It came with healthy portions of delicious sides. (Banchan) I also ordered from their large selection of Soju which had many flavor options. Service was great, place was Covid packed. I was a single diner quickly seated with great service..also bbq tables are available, in a separate section, for larger groups.
The best Korean restaurant around Albany region, love the appetizer dish, warm soup, galbi is simply amazing.
I first went to Seoul about 2 years ago and I've been dreaming about it ever since and finally got back there last week. It was everything I remembered and more. I went for lunch so I got seated right away and it was quiet which I enjoyed for a solo meal.
I was given the complimentary appetizers. I quickly finished the kimchi and was offered more by my waiter which I appreciated. There's quite a few dumpling options on the appetizer menu so I asked for a recommendation from the waiter and settled on the meat dumplings. They were so good!! Crispy on the outside and the dough wasn't too thick which I sometimes find with Chinese dumplings. I then had the yuk gae jang soup which was amazing! I was able to specify my spice level (I picked 5 out of 10) and it definitely had the kick I was looking for. It was only $10.95 during lunch hours.
I'm already planning my next trip back. Highly recommended!!
