Taco King

Saw some good reviews so we thought we would stop and give it a try. We were satisfied with the service that we received. Very friendly and kind. As for the food, we were very disappointed. The burger that I ordered left a lot to be desired. The actual burger was good, but under seasoned. The bun was toasted/cooked to a crisp, not just the outside but the whole thing was dry and crusty. The avocado on the burger had dark spots and tasted terrible. I had to scrape it off to eat the burger. Lettuce, diced (why?) tomatoes, and pickles were on the side. No other condiments were available. It sure could have used some mayonnaise or other condiment. On the burrito, the ground beef lacked seasoning and the tortilla was terribly dry. The nachos were just generic round tortilla chips that tasted like they were from a giant box you would buy at a warehouse store. We were very disappointed in the food taste and quality. We were also disappointed in the cost. Somehow when all six of us ordered meals for around $7 and then a drink each for $1 our total bill was around $69. Tired of being in an small hot stuffy restaurant for so long, we just paid and left. We love to support small businesses and help out entrepreneurs but feel that this place needs a little fine tuning to become a great local eatery.

This place was delicious!!! The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. The service wasn’t the fastest but definitely worth the wait. My kids even loved it. My son said it was the best burger place. My daughter is a huge fan of the king nachos. We were only driving through town and I’m so happy we took a chance and ate here.

Love the food here. Portions are huge and they're always experimenting with new things. More than reasonable prices with nothing over $10. Try their asada fries. Nacho cheese on everything. Meat on everything. Good comfort food and a nice cozy atmosphere. Chili isn't really hot and quality varies based on who's cooking. If the old woman is there, food is probably at it's best.

The burger was a mess. Looks like it broke apart on the grill and the attempt to use melted cheese to glue it back together was a fail. Also the broken statu im the bathroom was a little weird.. The burger was not 1/3 pound and the fajitas was not 1/2 pound. Not bad tasting but still a bad burger. See uploaded pictures.
