It would be best to call ahead and order. I drive up and waited half an hour for my fajitas order. The food was good for Las Vegas restaurants. I do like that they were not stingy with the sour cream and guacamole. It was pretty pricy for what I got: 17.33 for just food no drinks or extras.

Food were a huge portion. Red and green chili flavors makes it worth it. Hot meal, with just the right amount of topping. Served piping hot. Gotta have to eat the sopapillas.

*Once again: True NM food and hospitality. The solo gal who was running the entire front of house HUSTLES and is SO sweet! So glad we made it (7+ hours into a road trip) to our favorite stop before they closed early for Thanksgiving. If I could give another 5 stars I would.*
On a road trip to my hometown of Albuquerque we hit the jackpot with Kocina de Raphael in Las Vegas, NM. True New Mexican food: beans, tacos, green chile, posole, and sopapillas.
Everyone in the restaurant, staff and patron alike, were warm and friendly and loved on our kids. Made me miss home in the best way possible.
They have a great kids’ menu as well. We ordered a cheeseburger and chicken nuggets with fries. All kids’ items were great!!
There was a wait, but it was totally worth it and they gave our kids crayons (fresh in the pack Crayola) and fun coloring sheets.

Paid $70 dollars for my order at drive up window. I was told 20 minutes. I moved to the side parking like i always do. After 40 minutes and countless calls to a busy signal. I went inside to get my order that was just sitting on a cart. Got my order then a girl came outside to tell me it might be wrong then told me it was right. Got in my truck drove home and order was wrong. Called back and no busy signal and was told that i got more food than i ordered so that solved the situation. Oh no it didnt. Very rude and non apologetic service. I see plenty of FB post stating that the tips they get are aweful. Well i think the service tonight was very aweful. Bye bye Kocina ill take my business elsewhere. One star is way too good for my poor service. Owners need to recheck the customer service part of the business.

Was my favorite about 20 years ago. Have since moved out of the area. Ate there today and the food is just as good! The red chili and sopapillas are fantastic! Service is notoriously slow though. But they are very friendly.

I should have taken a photo. The Stuffy with chicken smothered in green chile with a side of posole was spot-on delicious with enough heat to knock my sinuses loose halfway through my plate. I'm going to try to convince my wife to bring me back for breakfast.

Every time we come to Las Vegas we eat at Kocina de Raphael's. We are from ABQ so we know good New Mexican food. Raphael's has great food, a good selection of menu items and best of all great, friendly service. We recommend Raphael's to our friends and family. Want great food and great service get on over to Raphael's !!

The service was good I had the special pork chop had a very bland chili sauce on it with grated cheese on it severed with beans that were dry the food was just bad they put fries on the plate with rolls also not well thought out plate will not eat there ever again

Simply one of the best restaurants in New Mexico. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. I highly recommend the Burnt Tacos (tacos wrapped in cheese). Unique and delicious.

I've eaten at this place since I was younger and normally didn't have any issues. I was excited to take my wife there and to much disappointment we waited over 45mins for our food. Our server was unprofessional and rude. When I went and asked for our chips and Salsa which we had waited for 15mins to get I got a dirty look. An older lady apologized for the waitress not getting them to us. 30mins later as we were still waiting and mind you there weren't very many people in the restaurant. One of the other wait staff came and asked if there was a problem and I said "yes, we have been sitting here for 45mins and have not received our food!" She then replies with "oh you haven't received your food?" Uh, no! I am not just sitting here for over 45mins to not eat. She then goes to the back, laughing with the other wait staff and then our waitress brings the food out. As she sets the food down she asks is there anything else you need, yes or no?! By that time I had enough! They are very lucky I am an honest customer and did not just leave the food and not pay! This type of service is unacceptable and unprofessional. As a person who works in a professional establishment that type of behavior as an employee would be grounds for a write up or termination. I will definitely spread the word about this experience not just here on FB either. I will not be returning when I visit from out of town and hope To never experience such poor service from a professional establishment.

Visited on 10/20/17. Food was not very good. My chalupa tortillas were soggy and chewy, the other 2 people at my table were not satisfied with their orders. I also overheard the cashier comping a meal because of a complaint. I hope they get a new chef soon. Once we got someone to wait on us, service was ok. I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My husband daughter and I went in for dinner tonight, 8-23-17. It was absolutely delicious! We have never seen such an awesome wait staff. The waitress we had was friendly, helpful, and very attentive. When she new we were from Raton, she was concerned and caring about our trip back so late. We witnessed a gentlemen who walked in at closing, and instead of pushing him out the door, they made sure he still was able to get a great meal. That's how a business should be run! Great job, Rapheal's! We will be stop in again!

The food is always great, however, I felt like they nickel and dimed everything! I asked for an extra plate so my 3yr old could use for ketchup for his fries and the nice waitress brought a small plastic condiment container and apologized bc she said if she brought a plate, they would charge me for it. Also, $3.29 for a side of nacho cheese is ridiculous! Especially when I'm substituting the guacamole and sour cream for cheese! Guess that's the last time I go there!

Everything about Rafael's is a yes. It was recommended all over town. The waitress was welcoming. The roast beef tacos were the bomb. I loved the setting. I went for dinner; I had a spiritual experience.
