I LOVE this restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for delicious and authentic Chinese food (esp. Hunan food) in Vegas. I was in Vegas for only two nights and had both my dinners there. Like I said, the food is authentic, hot and spicy Hunan style (they also ask you if you want the non-spicy kind). It's a family-running restaurant and the couple are from Hunan Province in China. Of course their English is limited but they are very friendly. And if you don't mind eating fish head I highly recommend the steamed fish head with diced red chili! I loved it! And every Chinese ordered it during my two nights dining there. Oh gosh I miss it so much...
小炒黄牛肉 is so-so. But everything else is very authentic and tasty! Service is great.
This is the third year I have eaten at the restaurant when I visited Vegas, and plan to come in the future years.
We arrived early and there were only two or three tables ahead of us, and were seated very quickly. However, the place filled up quickly after we arrived. When we were halfway done, there were people waiting for tables.
Some of the servers are new and the serving staff seemed to be overwhelmed with what they were asked to do (maybe because of short staffing). Having said that, the servers were friendly and delivered what we asked (e.g., ice water for my kids, extra napkins, more rice, etc) although we may have to ask twice.
The food is excellent 👌 my old son really enjoyed the spicy foods. Highly recommend the beef in golden soup (金汤肥牛). The golden color is from pumpkins. 湘味土豆鸡丁 The chicken has no bone in them, which would tasted better with bone. 小笼包 is so so. 大盆花菜and农家小炒肉 are excellent 👌
The food was tasty, we have a party of 6 and ordered the braised duck with beer, fried minced pork with pickled cowpeas, red braised pork, water spinach and griddle mushrooms and they all taste very authentically. The portion was not as big as we tasted in many other Chinese restaurants but the prices are reasonable.
It was during the New Year and many other restaurants were closed. If you are having a hard time to find less busy restaurants but don't want to comprise with the food's taste, I would recommend you to try here.
Tasty and authentic! It’s so nice to get plenty of freshly cooked rice complimentary with your food and it is so good! Delicious eggplant and egg dish. Friendly service. A Vegas favorite for us. Dependably good!
Great food! Had the shrimp head on was delicious. Pork intestines were awesome too. Will come back.
Remeber to ask for how spicy you want. To me, the default option is not spicy, but others may find it too hot. The food is authentic and pleasant. The service is super.
