I love this place the food was so good! Definitely will come back again! The servers are very friendly, the price is reasonable! Love love love this place!!!!
Great yummy foods with good price. Excellent staffs with great n friendly service. Best Chinese restaurant in USA so far
Let's open with a warning, the food is quite salty. If you're not used to eating high sodium diet, I can see some difficulties with this food.
I would say this is at least one of the top three dim sum places I've ever been to. The portions are also very generous and we indeed over-ordered. But the price is so good compared to the east coast. Apart from the saltiness, we found almost everything to be quite tasty, it was an incredible feast for a breakfast and we packed everything to have for dinner that day.
I would like to warn you that it can get super crowded really quickly. If you're going for breakfast, I would recommend showing up right to the opening time to get a table so that you won't have to join the line that would be going outside the door.
In A Nutshell:
-The Hong Kong Garden Seafood & Dim Sum Cafe restaurant serves up some decently good dim sum.
-Rather than pushing carts around, you will select your items using the paper menu & pencil.
-The service is very fast & efficient so there isn't much waiting after you order.
-The chrysanthemum tea is the perfect hot drink for dim sum as it helps break down the oils in your mouth.
-I ordered four items plus the tea & the total was around $20.
-That's not a bad price at all, coming from California the total would be around $30+.
Overall, if you want some very good dim sum while you are in Vegas, this is a good spot for it.
The rice noodle roll skin (Chee Cheong Fun) was thicker than my liking.
Siew mai (Shao Mai)was meaty and huge, which is a nice touch.
Steamed pork ribs are nice, but not all meat were drenched in the sauce.
Steamed chicken was nice, but not uniques. Feels like some Thai steam chicken?
Har Kow (Prawn dumpling) was meaty with fresh prawn.
Tunip dumpling was a new addition and recommended by the staff, it was nice and unique. Good to try!
All in all, it's one of Vegas earlier opening dim sum store so it's a good visit!
I was craving dim sum and stop by Hong Kong Garden to get my fix. The restaurant was packed tonight (04/17/22) at 9 pm. I walked in and there were tables filled with people celebrating and drinking. I ordered an assortment of dim sum (har gow, sieu mai, shrimp chive dumplings, turnip cake, ham sui gok, fried taro dumplings, Chinese broccoli) to go and waited about 10 minutes for my order. What I tried was pretty decent and definitely not the best.
Great Cantonese food and dim sum in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Las Vegas is full of terrific places to eat off the strip, and this is a go-to.
Came on a Monday about 530 pm. No wait. Very good Roast Duck and congee. Braised Beef soup also good. They even gave me a red bean soup for dessert (with tapioca pearls; what a treat). Reminds me of my childhood. This is my first time. I'll make sure to come back.
