Cafe Rio Mexican Grill

I've got no complaints. It's great food at a good price. It's fresher than fast food and tastes better too. The sweet pork barbacoa is my favorite and I normally go for a salad (you get the most for the cost with the salad. They've got a decent amount of variety and their desserts aren't bad either. I've tried the tres leches and enjoyed it! Prices have slowly gone up bit its still worth going to.

First time coming here, and I got to say the food was on point and excellent! We ordered a lot! We got 7 kids combos with meat quesadillas, two orders of tacos, one was steak, and the other chicken. And they also have beans and rice. Now about the food, the quesdadillas with their chicken were phenomenal, nor gunna lie there. The tacos were delicious as well, but the chicken was definitely better than the steak (steak missed a little more flavour, in my opinion) now for the beans they were good but lacking a little more salt. The rice was alright as well. So out of 5, I gave the food a 5 because it was gooooooooood. Now, the service wasn't a 5 because I feel like they need to listen more (I speak Spanish and English, and they still seemed confused with my order no matter what language I spoke, it was frustrating) and the service was slow. It's very, very, very slow, and I know I'm a little in patient with that because I have worked in the industry before and I know things can get chaotic but this was just snail slow 🐌 lol. BUT if you have the patience to wait, it is delicious!!

Food was fine but charged twice (I think on purpose). Payed for food, credit card said approved, please remove card. No receipt came out and I was told it didn't go through. Cashier called someone over who 100% guaranteed it didn't go through. Charged again but this time she reached over and selected no tip (so the total would be different, maybe). Had to call corporate to get a refund (in 7 working days - hopefully). Told corporate I think the extra charge was on purpose as the place was empty and the cashier could see on her side that it went through. I told corporate It would be easy to check for a second charge on the same card within a few minutes to see if this is an ongoing problem. She said they would look into it but the tone of her voice says otherwise. Best thing is to have your credit card company email/text you any time your card is charged. Then wait a bit for confirmation before paying a second time. Edit: Turns out they were right. They tried to charge my card but the first charge never appeared on the bill. The second one did. Sure looked like a scam to me because they knew exactly what it was doing. I guess whoever does IT for Cafe Rio has there hands full.
