I am really not that familiar with Mexican food, but the ones we ate here are good. The atmosphere is vibrant, and service is exceptional. We were greeted and seated as soon as we stepped in. Our server immediately asked us what drinks we preferred and brought them right before getting our orders. Complimentary chips and salsa were also served while we were waiting for our food, which came in in a short span of time. We'll surely go back again.
Been craving Authentic Tamales and I finally found my happy place. Clean and spotless restaurant with Beautiful Happy people. Service was fast and the Tamales was Made from the heart it was as if I was in My Grandmother's Kitchen. The Margarita was yummy and strong just like I like it

FOOD: was good except the nachos which were flavorless and cheese felt like plastic.
SERVICE: good service from, staff I’ll give them a 👍🏼👍🏼.
WAITING TIME: took longer than average.
OVERALL: nice clean place, drove several miles for doctors appointment and decided to try this location (been on L.V.BLVD location) it was worth it.
Will be back again.
Service was phenomenal! We were Treated so kindly and with prompt service! Great atmosphere….although we didn’t care for the music videos playing on the tv in the background. 😳 I wouldn’t bring my kids for this reason only. The food was really good also! We had tacos, tamales, and enchiladas. And the chips with salsa: Great! I think the chips were homemade?? If not they were definitely NOT some cheap store brand! Can’t wait to go again! 10 thumbs up! My first-time dining at this location. Friendly service, delicious margaritas and their pork tamales and steak enchiladas were the best. I asked for a side of hot sauce and guacamole and holy moly, talk about an explosion of flavors. My only disappointment was their Caesar Salad was made with Iceberg lettuce instead of Romaine. I highly recommend this family establishment.
Family favorite. Their tamales are amazing. Their chips and salsa are a great way to start the meal. Have tried tamales, chili rellenos, tacos and fajitas. Everything has been great. My kids are not fans of Mexican cuisine so it's nice they have some choices like burgers and chicken nuggets.
Unbelievable tamales.
The best I've ever had. We got 6 tamales for under $25 and were filled and satisfied! Very unique sweet tamales as well (filled with pineapple and raisin. Very similar texture to bread pudding).
The service is excellent- waiters were very natural, intuitive and just all around friendly. When I was ordering, the waiter actually stopped me from getting another dish because he said that 6 tamales would be enough for me and my wife. And he was correct. If he hadn't stopped me, I would have spent an additional $25 more plus tip and wasted a lot of food. Truly considerate and generous.

I love Mexican food, lived in Mexico and appreciate when the experience is authentic. Dona Maria's is pretty authentic. I love that they have a cheese/chili tamale option as I do not eat beef or pork. The tamales are HUGE! I ordered one tamale and a side salad and it was a perfect-size for a meal that was satisfying but didn't make me feel overly stuffed.
Service was good, staff is friendly and accommodating for customers. The interior is clean and well decorated. It was not very busy on a weekend mid day when we went, but also is summer and so hot outside, so that may contribute.
Easy location to get to in town, it is located in the NW medical district by Mtn View Hospital.
Overall, good experience and I would go again
Food was good. The only disappointment was the taco shells. They were pre-made like from the store. I like my Taco shells crispy. The drinks were very strong which is good. Service was amazing.
