The food is amazing had the beef combo and veggie combo. Together the combos feed a party of four. This family Ethiopian restaurant has a lot of potential. It's a small venue which makes it great for a few friends or a night out with your significant other. What it lacks in decore the dishes make up
The place to go if you want an authentic Ethopian restaurant experience! We should know, because of our family origins and long standing habit to try all Ethiopian restaurants in the farthest places we can find 😁. If you've never tried the regional cuisine, go for the sampler menu and ask for a lamb
Very tasty and friendly. Had the veggie combo. Great flavors. Staff were very nice.
An excellent meal and very welcoming to folks new to Ethiopian cuisine. Get the sampler platters (Yenat Guada and Westay) for a little bit of everything. The lentils (red, green, and mashed yellow) were just amazing! I'm not a huge lentil fan (sorry, Hippie Neil), but I'd happily eat these every day
I had a lamb dish and I ordered rice to go with it. It comes with a salad and bread. It was very good. There are even hot coals on the bottom of the dish that keeps the food warm. The food was delicious and the server was awesome, give this place a try!!!
Good to try once instead ok trying asian restaurants
First time here and it was sooo good! Went around 1:40pm on a Tuesday, and there was no wait at all. The lamb and spicy beef are a definite must! The sambusa was also really good! We got the mixed platter too and I have no complaints. The restaurant is small and intimate with outdoor seating as well
Our server was really helpful and patient in helping my fiance choose a dish for his first time trying Ethiopian food, and he loved it. I had the veggie combo and it was delicious. We'll definitely be back.
Super good food and great service. It does take a little while to get the food, but we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. We were simply laughing and joking with the staff, so we hardly noticed the longer wait. Plus the food by itself would make up for that anyways. Such a unique and delicious dinin
My boyfriend and I really enjoy Ethiopian cuisine and this was definitely one of the best places we have had Ethiopian food. The portions are very large and the food is full of flavor. The staff is also super friendly and the owner was very kind. I would highly suggest coming here if you are interes
This was my first trip to the restaurant . I have been going to another spot that closed doing the recession. The space is quite small and the tables are tightly positioned. The linen needs to be cleaned and utensils better. The Coffee Ceremony sitting is very exquisite, however, it should be cove
We are here on vacation from Portland,Oregon where we eat Ethiopian food all the time. Even after a week in Vegas with 400 dollar gourmet dinners and amazing shows this was the best evening we have had!
The food is amazing! The owner even more so.
The Gored Gored was the best I have ever had!
The
Merkato is a fabulous restaurant! Food is delicious and amenable to vegans. There is a slight wait for , however, this is a positive thing as clearly the end result is incredible quality of flavor. Injera is superb! My favorite vegan dish is the shero, which my partner and I ordered as an entree. Se
Food was delicious, staff was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed eating in the outside seating area so I cannot speak to the decor or atmosphere inside other than it was on on par for a small, inexpensive ethnic restaurant.
Look forward to eating here again.
The helpful employees were so nice and friendly. I will be eager to return and enjoy their food and atmosphere! I have already shared this place weigh others who ate some of the food I brought to a potluck. I had hoped to take more food home for myself; out was almost gone!!
The veggie combo platter is amazing and perfect for a nice dinner for 2. The staff is incredibly friendly and the location has a welcoming ambiance. You might see me when you go because I am now hopelessly addicted, haha.
Awesome place! Lovely staff, fantastic food, great ambiance! The staff remembered us from 2 years ago (we are visiting from out of state). The staff was dancing with the kids after dinner. The food was exactly what we remembered and expecting/ hoping! We got the veggie combo, zil zil, gorad gorad an
Now you know when they host an event at a restaurant, the food has to be amazing!!! Well, they were doing the baptism reception and they attended us like nothing changed. I love the experience and the food was beyond everything you could imagine. Try it if you haven't.
My wife and I ate here after reading others' recommendations, and we loved it. We split the meat combination platter which consists beef cooked 4 or 5 ways, with some seasoned spinach, all served on injera (soft ethiopian flat bread), with 6 large pieces of injera on the side. The spices used in t
