Went here with little expectations. Ordered a small tip. One of the few places that have rib tibs. Meat was tender and very favorable on all my reviews my number one creed is that the establishment has a neighborhood feeling or a wonderful ambience. This place is good in Container Park on the old Fremont strip. It has that neighborhood feeling and above average ribs.
Just happened on this place as I was walking down Fremont and was starving. I ordered the kids meal beef brisket which was enough for me with the macaroni. I also got the peach cobbler. The brisket was tender and seasoned well. The macaroni, I'm on the fence about. It was creamy but had a celery bite to it. I didn't see celery but it taste like it was in there. It wasn't bad just not what I was used to. Speaking of which, I've never had peach cobbler made with bread /cake before. It sas more of a peach flavored bread pudding. It had mounds of flavor but texture wise I was expecting pie crust. Overall a pretty good place to eat. The prices were reasonable, environment was inviting, and staff were great.
This place has the best bbq spare ribs in town. It's spicy ingredient baked in and the meat was so tender they practically fall off the bone. They potato salad is also delicious and well made. Food orders come out quickly and the price is reasonable. A perfect place for eat and dash if you have a short time.
This was a BBQ spot in the downtown container park. Price was decent, BBQ was good. Portions were generous. Less sauce, or sauce on the side would have been an improvement. Overall a neat little "hole in the wall" type of place that serves up some good meat.
Ok when I want some great BBQ, Big Ern's will be my prime destination. I just enjoyed an awesome BBQ brisket sandwich with a side of jambalaya!! I see they have Big Ern's seasoning and sauce that you can purchase, I will have to come back to pick them up. Friendly staff made me feel like part of the family and I really appreciate that!
This is the best BBQ spot in Vegas hand's down. Herman the Chef, throws down in that kitchen. Pulled pork and roasted chicken were Amazingly tender, great flavor not over or under seasoned sides were tasty as well. My son loves ribs took him here for his birthday and he said these rack of Ribs were the business. The prices are outrageously reasonable. This is a must visit food spot.
Seriously one of the best BBQ places I’ve eaten at! We had came to the container yard early but thought it was too early for BBQ so we ate at Cheffini’s Dog instead but we did come back for the BBQ for lunch & I’m very happy that we did that! The staff was nice!
We got the Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwich w/ sweet potato fries & the three meat plate w/ BBQ chicken, Rib Tip & Beef Brisket w/ Mac & cheese & potato salad. Everything was cooked to perfection! The beef brisket had that bark that was sooo good, the Rib Tips & chicken were juicy & tender. The portions are very big! I shared all of this with my boyfriend & we had the whole bbq chicken from the plate left over. The sweet potato fries were fried to perfection, not soggy. The Mac & cheese & potato salad were on point! Would def come back!
One of the best meals I had in Vegas was also one of the cheapest. The pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries were excellent. Sweet potato fries are hit and miss everywhere I go, but these were some of the best I’ve had. Ate outside with some work friends on a Friday evening and listened to live music. Enjoyed the laid back atmosphere is the container park. Thanks Big Ern and staff.
Incredible barbecue that melts in your mouth. Big portions that you can share with the family, making the pricing inexpensive. Not to mention many different sauces and side dishes so you can mix and match. Great servers and plenty of seating.
Must order sweet potato fries!! Ordered a brisket plate with 2 sides. The brisket had just the right amount of BBQ sauce, very sweet and tangy. The roll was good although not as warm as I would like. Excellent service upfront and our order was brought out to us to enjoy outside.
Warm greeting when you walk in. I went for brisket, that being my most native BBQ choice as a Texan. I am to either chopped or sliced. This was chunked, tender, and impressive! Cole slaw lacks flavor and includes raisins. I don't think those things are related. I'd go back and recommend you try Big Ern's.
