Left Bank - Larkspur

The evening was perfect! Service was perfect. The pace through the meal from pre-dinner cocktails through a wonderful desert was so pleasant. We did not feel rushed in any way. We were celebrating our anniversary and our server presented our desert with a lovely candle complete with best wishes! What nice touch. With all of the exceptional service, we left the restaurant and suddenly got a phone call from the manager letting us know that we had forgotten our credit card! Luckily we were only one block away and turned around to retrieve the lost card. We’re coming back!

This is place is solid. Good food excellent oysters and interesting cocktails. Prices well+ not cheap but not overpriced. Great wine selection. I have set outside on the patio. I've sat inside at a regular table a few times and a couple times at the bar and everywhere I said I really enjoyed it. Service is consistently good. It's beautiful at Christmas. It's nice to go somewhere that you can count on all of those factors working. It's a big place but not noisy. .

We had the tomato salad, the roasted half-chicken with mashed potatoes, and the raclette burger. They were all really good, and I’d get them again, except that I’d substitute out the fries that came with the burger—clearly frozen, flavorless, and undeserving to share the same plate as the outstanding burger. Service was a little slow, but that’s just happening these days and I try not to be a princess about it. The atmosphere is probably better at night when the lights are dim and it’s not as loud, but the art and decorations were all top tier. Recommended if you’re in Larkspur and want some French food. Really good cocktails!!
