We came here on a Monday evening for dinner. There were 5 of us. We got 3 appetizers, a drink each a main entree each and a dessert to split. Food was fresh, fast and delicious! Our drinks came first and then our appetizers. Just the way we like it! Our waiter was so nice and we really enjoyed our visit! Thank you!

My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant!! Our waitress was on top of everything we needed! The food was amazing! I enjoyed the sliced brisket platter and my husband had the pulled pork platter! We both loved the sweet bbq sauce on our meat and for dessert we tried the cinnamon sugar covered fried doughnut holes dipped in a glaze that apparently was made with sweet tea!! My oh my everything was perfect! Keep up the awesome service and food we most definitely will dine here again!!

We had a great BBQ lunch here. Being from Texas, we have high expectations for BBQ. Sonny's didn't disappoint. Didn't give it five stars, because it's not our favorite place to get BBQ. However, four stars or higher are rarely given out by me for BBQ. The brisket was cooked just right. Especially for my order for lean. The chicken had a good flavor and was moist. I'm not the biggest fan of pulled pork and pork ribs, but both were very good. Finished both off; which I won't eat anything I don't like. I truly enjoyed the perfectly cooked broccoli and well seasoned green beans. There weren't any complaints by anyone in our party during our visit. That included with the friendly and professional staff members. I highly recommend Sonny's BBQ during your visit to the Tampa area.

We got our food to go. The food was horrible. The ribs were dry. The salad smelled fishy, and the two orders of fries were old and burnt/new and not cooked all the way. The woman at the window was unfriendly and there was one car in the parking lot. Not going back.

Epic fail !!!!I highly recommend checking your food before you leave with your take out order. Was there yesterday July 3, 2022 and ordered 1 pound of brisket, and quarts of sides. I checked the order when I was there and it looked like 5 slices of brisket. I brought it to the attention of the Togo waiter, he took it back to the kitchen, and they added a little more but still didn’t look like 1 pound. I got home and weighed it out to be 9.1 ounces. The excuses I got were ridiculous. They hopefully refunded $10 to the original total. But did not offer anything further. Several employees failed to do their job on this, even after I caught it the first time, they still didn’t get it right.

I went for lunch today at Sonny's. I was greeted with a friendly smile and promptly seated. Megan was my server and she was excellent !! She explained the lunch specials and brought me my beverage quickly. The food was hot and delicious. I had baby back ribs, potato salad and baked beans. The portions were perfect size, the best ribs I have had in years. Even though they have great sauces, their ribs don't need any. The restaurant was very clean, well lite, very comfortable. You need to go to Sonny's and get you BBQ on !!!
