Lucky's

This is a cool little spot. I hadn’t been there in a few years, or since it’s been under new ownership. I went in there to play pool on the one Valley table that they have there. The owner is a pretty cool guy and very sociable. I hear he is pretty generous when serving drinks, if you get one. He plays good music as well.

>HOW TO GET WINGS AT LUCKY'S< 1) Accept that you may not get any wings on that visit. If the owner can't get wings that meet his standards he doesn't buy them. If he's busy bartending, he probably won't be cooking. This isn't McDonalds or BW3, it's one man's singular vision. 2) Ask. You may not see any wings in the warmer, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's done. Give him some time and if he can he'll find a way to feed you. 3) Come early. If you're there before it gets too busy in the evenings, Jeff will be more likely to have the time to cook. 4) Be patient. Hang around for a while, maybe have a second drink, and see what Jeff can come up with. 5) Try something else. If you can't get wings (or even if you can), sometimes he has pizza, or pulled pork, or mac 'n cheese, or steaks, or goulash...etc. Everything is good. Great atmosphere and food. Staff are friendly and good at what they do. You walk in and immediately feel welcome. Check it out. If you're lucky enough to get some wings you'll be hooked for life. The quintessential neighborhood bar.
