What a great restaurant. Service is spot on , attentive, and efficient, no wonder they have been around for so long. Enjoyed drinks and dinner celebrating a birthday. Cheese enchiladas were tasty as were the chili rellenos. Dessert was the cherry inside with an amazing pastry outside with whipped cream. Will continue to eat here.

My wife MUST eat here, generally once a week: 2 chicken enchiladas, rice only, no beans, iced tea - they know when she arrives, no menu necessary! Personable staff, casual dining atmosphere, fast service, it's A+ for us! Chicken Tortilla Soup is very delicious, I try to order something different every visit - it's all good!

I'm embarrassed to say that I don't think to go to this Lancaster staple more often than when my Brother comes to town from the Chicagoland area. He grew up here, and used to go here with the family often at their previous location when we were kids. Now they like to go there on every visit.
Love the very large dining area right in the door. I'm a large human, and when I feel comfortable, it's probably larger than most. We also had a large crew that were served in pretty short order. Great service across the board.
I enjoyed one of each of their enchilada offerings. Absolutely delicious marks for each one. The beef is tender and meaty, not fatty. It was fabulous. As were the rest; a cheese, and two different types of chicken enchiladas. My Love combined some a lacarte offerings. A beef tamale, cheese & onion enchilada and a taco. All were fantastic. Loaded with flavor. Will definitely be returning more often.

The owner was out waiting on tables talking to customers very hands on owner, very nice man and a Marine as well. The service was excellent, the employees were friendly and polite. The food was fantastic I had the cheese enchilada dinner and it was great. I would recommend to anyone who is planning a trip to Lancaster California that you stop by this place for lunch or dinner well worth it. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

A nice place to enjoy authentic Mexican food. Family owned and operated. Doesn't have the atmosphere of other chain places but the food is superior. I would choose the Rusten House over all of the competition.

Great authentic Mexican food. Shawn was extremely attentive to ensuring my order was they way I wanted. This was my first time to Lancaster and I can tell you I will definitely return. The entire staff welcomed me like family. The hot salsa had just enough kick when mixed with the signature salsa. The fajitas were enough for 2.

I eat at the Rusten House at least once a week. They are the best Mexican food in the Antelope Valley! I LOVE their tacos, their staff is friendly and they make a point to remember you, so the next time you come in, you're welcomed like family. We have been patrons of the Rusten House for at least the last 40 years, I would recommend them to everyone. There isn't anything on their menu that isn't delicious

I don't know how this place got 5 stars by anyone. The guacamole we ordered with the o.k free chips was tasteless and a super small bowl for 5$. Then the burrito came. The burrito was super salty. The meat was tasteless. Beans salty with the queso. The service was great though. That's it. Wouldn't come again. Wouldn't recommend.

Not so good. We chose Rusten House because the reviews were better than the competition. Not such a good idea! Nothing special here. Not horrible, but far from the best Mexican food we have had.

Very good food. Tortilla soup is awesome! Waiters were kinda getting annoying asking every 3-5 minutes if I was ok...
