Great local sandwich / bagel shop. I've been here two times so far and both times have been good experiences. The food is very good and has good quality. The staff are friendly and there's a good amount of seating (including upstairs). I recommend the lox bagel sandwich - it's very good!
Great service, our first time here and the cashier working was extremely helpful and patient on 9/11 at 10am. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of options and the food tastes so fresh and delicious! Coffee is great too. Kid friendly for sure. I will come back.
This is the best bagel and lox I have had yet in Lancaster. The veggies were fresh, the bagel soft and chewy and smoked salmon delicious, it even came with sides, applesauce and a pickle. The coffee was quite good and seating plentiful with extra room upstairs and outside. Well worth the trip.
If you're looking for a New York style bagel shop in Lancaster, this is it. The vibe, the menu, the tight space... Nice place. Food service was pretty quick.
Everything was great just a bit small for dinning inside and the bagels were a little salty for my taste but still great
Update: nothing much has changed about my review. Love this place. It's busy so if you can't order through the toast app, you're gonna be in for a wait. Get use to it. It's delicious. Also, the focaccia has a perfect amount of rosemary. The one time it didn't was a one-off. I love the way it's made most of the time. Last 3 pictures are of "The garden" and "#1 on an everything bagel" sandwiches, hashbrowns, and tres leches cake. Can NOT recommend the tres leches cake ENOUGH. YUMMMMMMM.
This experience was divine!! You will not regret visiting this place. (Sorry for the "already eaten" photos. It smelled so good that I didn't think to get "insta-worthy" pics.)
The food was ah-mazing. We didn't wait long for our food, even though it was starting to get into a rush. The focaccia and jalapeño bagel (not pictured) for our sandwiches were fantastic. The bagel had a bit of spice to it even. The focaccia could have more rosemary, but I'm a sl$t for it and I know not everyone likes it as strong as I do. The eggs, cheese, and bacon were also all perfectly done. Zero complaints. The red velvet cupcake was very yummy, a bit dense, but still moist. Not sickeningly sweet, either. Ordered a Tandy cake to go, can't comment on it yet. (Hubby loved it, update.)
Then the drinks. Omg the drinks. A vanilla espresso shake, a mango smoothie, and a shamrock shake. Not pictured was a frozen hot chocolate with rainbow sprinkles. The espresso shake was perfectly coffee without being overwhelmingly sweet. The mango smoothie was perfectly sweet and incredibly thick. The shamrock shake was an exact duplicate, but better because it was mixed the entire way through. The frozen hot chocolate was delicious but not as sugary as you are use to from other places, IYKYK. It was honestly better though, just be aware of that if ordering for a smaller kiddo.
On to the staff. Amazing staff. Amazing service. They bust their tails in there. I asked a staff member working the drink counter a question and not only did they know almost all of the ingredients off the top of their head, but they also offered to make me a taste of the drink I was asking about. Talk about service!!!
Order online, save yourself some time. You pick it up in a cubby. Tip your staff!!!!
Lines, Lines, Lines
WORTH it every single time.
We absolutely adore visiting Grand Central Bagel any time we have a chance.
Service is excellent, food is outstanding, seating is crowded, parking spaces are most often guaranteed! It feels like we are in a crowded train station enjoying a filling meal before our adventure 💕
**Removed 1 star because the lines can be insanely long - but doesn't that prove how amazing they are? Yum!**
This place seems kind of great. It's pricey for my blood, but overall, it's worth it. My sandwich was stupid good on very tasty bread. The coffee works, and the atmosphere is about correct for this type of place. Hard to find any fault as the service was quick and direct. $12 breakfast feels a bit out there, but I might just be old.
I always enjoy eating here. Lots on the menu and very good treats and food. A bit pricey but if you’re willing to spend a bit more then go for it. Staff is usually friendly and it’s typically busy here.
Stopped in for breakfast sammies and they were delicious! Bagels were soft, chewy, and toasted the perfect amount, bacon was crispy, and the choc chip cookie was the perfect post-breakfast treat 😊
