If you are looking for the best sushi in the area and beyond, look no further. Kar, the owner, is an incredible sushi chef and wonderful to talk with. The special seaweed salad on the menu is absolutely comfort food, so refreshing and satisfying, an absolute must. I bring as many friends in to Tsunami Expeess as possible, every one of them is blown away by the quality, experience, and prices. Kar used to have a restaurant in Lancaster that I went to weekly, and when he closed to travel the world making sushi, and at that point I stopped eating sushi entirely. Since Tsunami Expeess opened, weekly (or more frequent) visits have become standard. I thought I knew how much I missed Kar’s sushi and special seaweed salad, but I was no where close. Everyone should go here, whether you love sushi or have yet to experience it. Thank you, Kar, for your amazing cuisine!
Hands down the best sushi. Fresh, tasty, and isn’t overfilled with rice! Kar is the best sushi chef in town! So glad he is back. Be sure to try the special seaweed salad!
I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of sushi here at Tsunami Express. The fish is extremely fresh and tasty. The plate presentation is on point as well. I’ve also been searching for “Onigiri” for years ever since I started watching anime and they actually had it here !! That deserves extra recognition for that alone. By the way, the man at the front counter was super nice and extremely helpful. I would eat here once a week if I could.
Such a hidden gem! Great sushi! The drinks sounded great! The staff was really really friendly! I highly recommend checking this place out. Very cool vibes. Will be going back for trivia nights on Wednesdays!
First time, my husband loves sushi! He said everything was great! Sushi platter and spring rolls. Ratio was excellent we'll be back!
Stopped in for a birthday dinner while in town and the food did not disappoint. Super friendly and the teen boys were in heaven. Everyone left full with smiles on their faces. Had to order more and tried quite a few items.
Friendly staff and very talented too! Some of the best sushi in town. My wife and son and I go here semi-regularly, and we love it every time. Highly recommended!
Great friendly service with a smile. Came here on a Lancaster vacation & was throughly enjoyable. The seaweed salad appetizer with mango, avocado & cucumber was especially delightful with those additives a surprise with an amazingly tasty sauce! Prices are very fair and they take the time to make it perfect with thick slices! Bruno’s cheesesteaks & hogie subs are still offered here and the crusty bread makes it even more tasty of a joint! Also the crazy Godzilla which is tempura style is so lightly flashed it’s amazing! Never tried salmon skin roll either but did today; great crunch and not an overpowering fishiness.
They don’t have lemon offered with water although they use it for the phenomenal citrus roll- I’m sure they could be swayed with this review to offer it though! Need to offer a regular style cup/glass for water instead of the small styrofoam coffee cup too please...thx tsunami!
This is the best sushi in the area! Everything we tried was phenomenal and tasted so fresh. The customer service was also amazing. I can’t wait to go back again! Thank you for the great experience.
We found this place by accident but I'm so happy we did! It's a really unique place - a great bar atmosphere but with fresh sushi in addition to your favorite bar food and drinks. I'll definitely be back!
