Pine Lodge

Excellent did and good staff. We went on a busy Saturday night with holiday parties going on upstairs. The words explored out would be a long wait because the kitchen was really busy. And it was a pretty long wait, but at no time were we not waited on. The drinks were refilled, appetizers and bread were served and that resulted in a pleasant visit while we waited. The steaks also made the wait totally worth it. Cooked perfectly and very well seasoned.

The restaurant area opens at 5 p.m., not 4. The bar area opens at 4, but only served drinks with no aperitifs like nuts, chips, or crackers. Our meals lacked the quality expected, but we imagine they may be just getting back in operation from closure of the pandemic. Suprisingly, no masked or gloved precautions were being followed by servers, even though they had an unexpected skeleton named Covid-Carl seated with a mask at the entrance of the dining area as a grim reminder of the consequences. Sadly, we were seated in a booth with a taxidermied deer that was positioned staring right at us with its mouth open and tongue showing, which was totally not the romantic ambience I had seen on the photos posted here on google, and really set a different tone to the one I had hoped for. This place has so much potential, if they could just put themselves in the shoes of the customers and walk through their steps. A couple in a booth behind us, sent back their meal because it was not prepared properly. We were quite hungry, but the best part of the meal was the bread, and the rest was not worth the cost. This is purely constructive criticism, since we understand that times are difficult for restaurants re-opening.

My husband and I went here tonight for New Years Dinner. We had never tried it before and thought what the heck. At first I wasn’t sure because it took about an hour to get seated but they were slammed and short staffed so we were like okay we aren’t in a rush so we can wait. And BOY ARE WE GLAD WE DID. Holy smokes..... absolutely shocked at the quality of the food and the high end menu options. I had a steak and a lobster tail, escargo as an appetizer as well. My husband has major dietary issues and they did a great job accommodating him as well which is a tremendously huge deal to us. Absolutely unbelievable. I can’t believe the place isn’t packed like that every night. Blown away and we will absolutely be back. Thanks so much for a great night out!
